We're really pleased to be supporting SomerRock once again this year by providing the event's fire extinguishers.

We've been proud to do this free of charge for the last few years, helping to ensure everyone can enjoy a fantastic and safe weekend.

Unfortunately, Foamy won't be making an appearance at KidsRock this year, but don't worry, he'll be back next year and looking forward to seeing everyone again! 🧯

A huge thank you to everyone who puts in so much effort to put on such a great event. We hope everyone has an amazing time at the 20th Anniversary and here's to another brilliant SomerRock! 🤘

England vs Argentina tonight... but here's a fire fact you probably didn't know!

As millions tune in to watch tonight's match, here's a question:

How fast would a football have to travel before it could catch fire from the air rushing past it?

The answer is... around 900–1,100 metres per second (that's roughly 2,000–2,500 mph!) before aerodynamic heating could bring the surface of the ball anywhere near its ignition temperature.

Thankfully even the hardest free kick ever recorded comes nowhere close!

So the football won't be bursting into flames tonight, but it's a good reminder that fire doesn't need extreme speeds to start. Faulty electrics, overloaded sockets and poor fire safety practices remain some of the biggest causes of fires in homes and workplaces.

Yesterday we had the immense pleasure of taking Foamy to the Family Fun Day at Polden Bower.

It was a very hot occasion but it’s a huge privilege to be invited to attend and we had a great time meeting the children, families and the team who put the event together. Seeing everyone’s excitement at meeting Foamy made the event even better.

There was even a very brave 10-week-old goat called Maverick that said hello to Foamy!

We hope everyone had an amazing day, and we look forward to seeing you again in the future!

Today Foamy had the pleasure of attending the The Mendip School Family Fun Day once again, and what a fantastic day it was!

We were incredibly grateful to be invited back and to be part of such a special event. Seeing so many smiling faces and having the opportunity to interact with the children, families and staff is something we genuinely look forward to each year.

Foamy certainly enjoyed meeting everyone, posing for photos and helping to bring a few extra smiles to the day.

Thank you to everyone at The Mendip School for the warm welcome and for organising another brilliant event.

Last year Foamy was invited to attend the Family Fun Day at The Mendip School.

With free entry and full of inclusive activities for children with disabilities and additional needs, it's a great day out for all the family.

We had such a great time attending and meeting everyone last year that we're thrilled to have been invited back!

Hopefully we'll see you next week!

For Home Farm Festival last weekend we provided a whopping 73 fire extinguishers at no cost to ensure that should a fire break out the appropriate extinguisher is on hand to help keep everyone on site safe.

Our Managing Director has a personal connection to School in a Bag, the charity behind Home Farm Fest, and so it's a great feeling to be able to support them with raising as much as possible to continue their great work.

Of course, Foamy couldn't resist turning up and taking part in the fun run, and sometimes he'll just appear when you open your eyes.

As temperatures rise in the UK here are some quick fire safety tips you can use at home and at work 🔥🚫
☀️ SUNNY DAY = HIDDEN FIRE RISK
Reflected sunlight can act like a magnifying glass and start a fire if it lands on something flammable like curtains or soft furnishings.
✅ Quick 60‑second check:
1) Move mirrors / curved glass / shiny ornaments away from windows & direct sun (especially windowsills).
2) Keep aerosols (deodorant, hairspray, cleaning sprays) out of sunlight / high heat they’re often flammable and can ignite/explode in direct sunlight
3) Treat lithium‑ion batteries with care in hot weather - (mobile phones, battery packs, vapes). In high temperatures and direct sunlight these are an increase fire risk.
🔥 If there’s a fire: get out, stay out, call 999.
