Halswell House was purchased at auction in November 2013 by Edward Strachan, in July 2014 he was also able to purchase the part of the parkland known as Mill Wood, a 19 acre pleasure garden created for Sir Charles Kemeys Tynte on the Halswell Park Estate between 1745 and 1785. The house and park are now undergoing extensive repairs and renovations and are currently closed to the general public. There will however be open days and special events during the course of the restoration.
