Join us 25th of September outside the Brighton Magistrates' Court.

Our comrade Maya, who was arrested earlier this year for chanting ‘Victory to the Intifada’, was charged and is having her trial on the 25th of September

We will be holding a protest in support of Maya during the trial, starting from 9 a.m. outside the Brighton Magistrates' Court on Edward street, demanding the charges be dropped.

We say defending Palestinian resistance cannot a crime.

Our comrade Maya has been charged under the Public Order Act for her use of the chant "Victory to the Intifada".
She will appear in court on 27th of August.

Today, comrades from FRFI, Young Struggle and Stop L3harris held a rally against the ongoing state repression in Brighton and the police harassment of our comrades.

After speaking and engaging with the public, we marched to the office of Peter Kyle, Labour MP and member of Labour Friends of Israel.
The British government run by the Labour Party continues to support the genocidal Zionist state and is responsible for the escalating attacks on the working class and the Palestinian movement here in Britain.

Join our public meeting tonight at the BMECP centre, 10a Fleet Street to discuss the ongoing repression of the Palestinian movement in Brighton, and also hear from one of the SOAS2 on their upcoming retrial .

It's critically important that we stand united against these state attacks and build a movement against state repression here in Brighton

United we stand. Divided we fall.

Join us this Monday 7.30pm for our pamphlet launch at the Actors.

With the rise of state racism here in Britain, and the Labour Party boasting of over 60,000 deportations in just two years, it's more urgent than ever to build an anti-racist movement here in Britain, just like in Minneapolis.

Yet, in the wake of the Together Alliance and the Carnival against fascism here in Brighton, much of the left today is hyperfocused on the threat of fascism and the far right.
But what does fighting fascism actually mean? And is it a useful analysis for building a revolutionary movement today on Britain?

In this launch, we will be exploring what fascism actually is, the history of fascist movements in Italy and Chile, their relation to capitalism and the socialist movement, and the nature of anti-racist uprisings and the need to build a movement against state racism.

So join us this Monday at the Actors for a lively discussion of these questions and the launch of our new pamphlet, Fighting Racism: the state and the streets!

SUPPORT FREE SPEECH ON PALESTINE 🇵🇸

We held a stall in Brighton across the road from the Brighthelm Centre to raise awareness of our Defend the Brighthelm campaign.

Last month, our planned screening of the film Jenin Jenin was postponed after a zionist complained to the Brighthelm Centre, the Charity Commission and Sussex Police, claiming falsely that the film incited violence.

We spoke with people to raise awareness and to gain support for the campaign to defend Brighthelm and all other venues from zionist intimidation, as well as to take a stand against censorship of the Palestine movement.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to speak with us and also to pick up a copy of the latest issue of Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism!

On Thursday, the 30th of July, our comrade Maya was charged under section 5 of the Public Order Act and section 31 of the Crime and Disorder Act, for her action in solidarity with Palestine

In response, we held a rally outside Hollingbury police station to demonstrate our solidarity and demand charges be dropped.

Her original arrest occurred earlier this year after local Zionists attempted to dox Maya and demanded her arrest for chanting 'intifada' and 'from the river to the sea'.

It is vital these charges against one of our own do not go unchallenged.
This is not the first and it will not be the last. We must stand together against these blatant attacks from the state.

Join us on the 15th of August for our day of action. There will be a rally at 12pm at the train station, and an public meeting at Community base at 5pm

Please also join us at the court hearing on the 27th of August 2pm at Brighton and Hove magistrates court.

On the 15th August, Brighton will be having a day of action! We will have a rally at the train station at 12pm followed by a public meeting on state repression at Community Base at 5pm!

Brighton is facing increasing state repression with the police attacking pro-Palestinian solidarity. They are agents of the British imperialist state and as such have the duty to suppress progressive anti-imperialist movements. This has recently taken the form of increased brutality against protestors, more arrests stemming from chants with the word “intifada”, and the recent censoring of our film showing of Jenin Jenin.

We are under attack and it is crucial we stand together against this and build a movement that can adequately defend the right to protest! Join us and help build a movement towards liberation!

An injury to one is an injury to all!
