We have exciting news to announce! Crox Bottom Friends Group is now combining with the Friends of the Western Slopes to create a new SUPER GROUP:

FRIENDS OF NOVERS HILL AND CROX BOTTOM.

This is fantastic news for our wildlife and the people who use these spaces.

In reality, the only thing that divides them are the Hartcliffe Way. Wildlife certainly sees it as one long green corridor, and we stand a better chance of protecting both spaces if they join together as one.

Please like and follow the new group, and as ever, message us if any of you would like to become active Friends members.

Happy New Year to you all, and may 2024 bring great new things to our beloved local green spaces 💚🌿🦦🦆

Bristol Avon Rivers Trust are running a workshop down at Crox Bottom on Wednesday 15th November to help people become local river detective volunteers.

This kind of citizen science is vital to help monitor and protect our waterways. Please come along if you can!

This is it! Finally the planning application for housing on the slopes of our Novers will be decided.

⚠️ WE NEED YOU TO:

✍️ Write a short statement about why the development should not be approved.

✅ It can be as short as a paragraph, just like your objection.

🔈 You can read your statement if you like, you get 1 minute. Just let them know in your email.

Sadly, another Otter was reported as found dead by the roadside last weekend.

Please encourage everyone you know to take care while driving along the Hartcliffe Way, particularly at night.

Otters were only discovered in South Bristol a year ago but now two have been killed on the same main road

If you are at a loose end this Wednesday 26th October, John Lakin from the Bristol Avon Rivers Trust is running a river dipping session on the Pigeonhouse Stream between 10am and 2pm.

Please note: although the Pigeonhouse Stream is the one that flows through Crox Bottom, this is taking place upstream in Bishopsworth. Please refer to the poster below for further information.
