Message from South Gloucestershire Council:

Resurfacing works on the A432 Badminton Road, between Nibley Lane and the Culvert Avenue Roundabout.

These works are essential to completing this section of the A432 active travel corridor. We are aiming to substantially complete this work before the new M4 overbridge re-opens.

When and where:

Start date: Week commencing Sunday 7 June
Duration: 8 nights until Sunday 14 June
Location: A432 Badminton Road, between Nibley Lane and the Culvert Avenue Roundabout
Working hours: 8:00pm to 6:00am

Traffic management: Road closures will be in place overnight to ensure the safety of both workers and road users.

What this means:
Nibley Lane - There will be no vehicular access to/from the A432 during the overnight closure.
Pedestrian routes will be unaffected.

A diversion will be in place.

Noise and vibration are expected during the works. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.

Access to private property
Whilst access will be available to those who live within the closure you may need to access via the north or south of the closure depending upon where the works are each night.

Access to private property will be maintained however where we need to work directly in front of your access there will be delays at times. Our engagement team and workforce will liaise with you directly during these periods and attempt to keep disruption to a minimum so far as is reasonably practicable.

👇👇WESTERLEIGH AVERAGE SPEED CAMERA CONSULTATION👇👇

REMINDER - the consultation deadline is midnight, this THURSDAY 21st May.

Submit your response via the online questionnaire: https://consultations.southglos.gov.uk/Westerleigh_Speed_Cameras/consultationHome

South Gloucestershire Council is consulting on a scheme to install average speed cameras at the three entry/exit points to Westerleigh village - see plan below.

The village of Westerleigh has experienced a history of vehicles travelling at speeds in excess of the existing 30mph speed limit. Funding has been secured for a speed enforcement scheme through the village using average speed cameras. Previous monitoring and community feedback indicate that a proportion of drivers exceed the posted speed limits on routes leading into Westerleigh. As a result, average speed enforcement has been identified as a potential tool to promote safer and more uniform driving behaviour across the village.
Visit the consultation website to view the 'statement of reasons' and plans for the speed camera locations. Then submit your views via the online questionnaire.
