Bristol Black Carers We provide support and assistance for Caribbean, African and Asian carers in Bristol. not culturally suitable or had a bad experience in the system.

The Black Carers Project was set up in 1997 in the heart of the community to provide support and services to Black Carers of African/African Caribbean decent. It is a well-known fact that Black Carers do not access mainstream statutory or voluntary services for various reasons i.e. The charity changed its name from Black Carers Project to Bristol Black Carers in February 2010. We are working towa

rds building our community through support and empowerment of carers and their families to access and contribute to relevant main stream services .

Dear Service Users and Stake holders,

We wish to express our deepest gratitude for your continued support as our charity transitions to a newly appointed board, which took office on 5 November 2025.

During this period, some of our services have been reduced; however, the charity remains operational and committed to supporting our community.

We are pleased to confirm that our CEO, Anndeloris Chacon, has been reinstated in her role and will continue to lead the charity with the full support of the Board.

Please note that our office will be closed for the holiday period from Tuesday 23 December 2025 to 5 January 2026.
