✨ Moroccan Day! ✨

Last week, our homes enjoyed a colourful celebration of all things Moroccan! 💙

Our residents and teams got involved in lots of different activities, from wearing beautiful traditional dress and getting creative making Moroccan-inspired lanterns, to tasting some delicious food! 🏮🍴

Days like these are a wonderful opportunity to explore different cultures, try something new, and, most importantly, have plenty of fun together!

It certainly looks like everyone had a fantastic time celebrating! 🇲🇦❤️

What have the residents of Ablecare Homes been doing recently? 🤔💭

Residents at Crossley House partook in an investigation activity surrounding around Mona Lisa being stolen. They followed clues and riddles to find pieces of the art puzzle. Afterwards, they learnt why the painting was so infamous and listened to music inspired by the artwork! 🖼️

At Rosewood House, residents celebrated International Dog Day 🐶 They took a lovely walk and happily did some colouring relating to the day.

Then at Hengrove Lodge, the baking club made a yummy apple crumble tray bake. This came out better than they thought! The residents enjoyed helping out to bake it 🍎

🌟 Staff Shout Out! 🌟

Recently, we’ve had a few very deserving Employee of the Week winners at Hengrove Lodge! 💙

Each of these wonderful team members has made an outstanding contribution to the home and has been recognised for the hard work, dedication, and care they show every day.

But we think the best part has to be who presented the awards... our residents! 🥰

Each Employee of the Week was presented with their award by residents at Hengrove Lodge, who were more than happy to agree that the recognition was very well deserved! 🏆👏

A huge congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you for everything you do to support our residents, your colleagues, and the home. Keep up the amazing work! 💙✨

🎁 AbleCare Awards Prize Sponsor Spotlight 🎁

Today's spotlight is on two more incredible local businesses who have generously donated prizes for this year's AbleCare Awards! 💙

🥩 Ruby & White Butchers

Ruby & White Butchers have kindly donated a Butchers Box for one of our lucky winners!

As the trusted supplier of the high-quality meat used by our sister company, AbleCare Kitchens, we can certainly vouch for just how delicious their produce is! Whether you're looking for premium cuts, barbecue favourites, or something special for dinner, their Food Hall on Whiteladies Road in Clifton is well worth a visit. Why not pop in and pick up a sausage or two while you're there? 😉

🎂 Alice Hawker Cakes

We've also been gifted a beautiful bespoke celebration cake, kindly donated by the incredibly talented Alice Hawker Cakes for someone to roder for themselves.

If Alice's name sounds familiar, it's because she's the baker behind all of our delicious Employee of the Week treats. Safe to say, we've sampled a brownie or two, and they never disappoint! 🍫

When she's not creating stunning wedding cakes like this one, you'll often find Alice at markets across Bristol showcasing her incredible bakes.

A huge thank you to Ruby & White Butchers and Alice Hawker Cakes for supporting the AbleCare Awards and helping us celebrate the amazing people who make AbleCare Homes such a special place. 👏💙

Stay tuned as we continue revealing more fantastic prize sponsors over the coming days... 👀✨
