Bristol Hospitality Network (BHN)

Bristol Hospitality Network (BHN) We stand in solidarity with people seeking asylum and facing destitution in Bristol. Without an income, these individuals can't find accommodation.

We support people seeking asylum through our weekly Welcome Centre drop-in, and by finding accommodation for those who have been refused asylum. BHN works alongside asylum seekers facing destitution by sourcing hosted accommodation and creative community engagement across the city. We estimate there are 100 destitute asylum seekers living in Bristol, caught in the loopholes of the system - unable

to work and unable to claim benefits. We provide full board accommodation for our members in host households and in our men's hostel in Bristol, as well as opportunities in community volunteering and as part of our social enterprise, Moveable Feast. We run a drop-in session and provide a hot meal every Monday at our Welcome Centre, offer legal advice and support, run ESOL classes, and host events. We also feel it’s important to celebrate when there are joys to be acknowledged and we enjoy some wonderful dinners and parties - often a melting pot of cultures! Look out for upcoming events via our Facebook. For more information about Bristol Hospitality Network, please visit http://www.bhn.org.uk.

BHN are proud to be putting on a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing 🌍

A powerful and honest look at how the climate crisis affects people in the UK, not just in the future, but right now, and across the globe.

‘People’ includes those seeking asylum. We’ll consider the climate crisis' impact on migration, with short introductions by our Advice Manager and our climate activist Co-Chair of Trustees. Followed by space for relaxed reflection and sharing (completely optional).

- 6pm, Wednesday 20th May 2026
- Easton Family Centre, Beaufort Street, Bristol, BS5 0SQ
- 16+ (please note the film does contain some swearing)
- Free tickets 🎟️ book your place here:

This topic can often feel doom & gloom, but the intention behind this film is to bring people together and leave them with hope for change.

Please join us and come together to watch, reflect, and think about what action looks like.
