🇮🇩 Indonesia earthquake

We are closely monitoring reports following a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake off the coast of Flores, Indonesia.

The earthquake has caused significant damage, with buildings reported collapsed and casualties confirmed. A tsunami warning was issued and subsequently lifted, while local authorities and emergency services continue to assess the situation and respond.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected, including those who have lost loved ones, been injured or displaced.

SARAID continues to monitor developments and stands ready to support where our expertise may be required.

🇨🇴 Colombia Earthquake Update

SARAID is closely monitoring the situation following the powerful earthquake that struck Colombia today.

Our thoughts are with those affected, their families and communities, and the emergency responders working across the affected areas.

We are keeping a close eye on the situation by monitoring developments and assessing any emerging response needs.

A 7.4-magnitude earthquake has hit Colombia, the strongest quake in the South American country in a decade - causing buildings to collapse, sparking evacuations and killing more than 100 people. The government has declared the crisis a "national disaster". Follow the latest.

🚨 Venezuela Deployment Update 🚨

After several days of exploring every possible route into Venezuela, SARAID has made the difficult decision to stand down our potential deployment. Whilst this is not the outcome we had hoped for, we remain proud of the commitment shown by our team and grateful to everyone who offered support, shared our appeals, and reached out to help.

Our thoughts remain firmly with the people of Venezuela, those still waiting for news of loved ones, and the responders continuing lifesaving work on the ground.

Thank you to everyone who stood alongside us over the past few days.

As works to mobilise support to Venezuela and assist with ongoing rescue efforts, our team continues to engage with the media to provide insight into how international search and rescue responses unfold, the challenges responders face, and the realities on the ground.

🚨 Earthquake Alert 🚨

SARAID are aware that two strong earthquakes have struck northern Venezuela
on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 17:04 local time.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected and with the responders on the ground.

We continue to monitor developments and remain in contact with partners as the situation evolves.

The US Geological Survey earlier calculated a 44% chance of more than 10,000 fatalities, and a 30% chance of more than 100,000.
