From 2–4 October, TerraQuest and Planning Portal will be at NEC Birmingham, joining homeowners, planners, self-builders and renovation enthusiasts for a weekend of inspiration and expert advice on self-build and home renovation projects.

On Friday 2 October at 12.45pm join Gareth Welch, Product Specialist, and John Van Eker, Principal Town Planner, at the Build and Renovation Theatre for an insightful session - where they'll be exploring how the right tools and insights can help simplify the planning journey and give self-builders and renovators greater confidence when taking the next steps with their project.

You can also find John at the Ask the Expert zone throughout the weekend, where he’ll be on hand to answer any planning questions you might have about your self-build or renovation project.

A few months ago, alongside exhibiting at UKREiiF, we hosted an engaging roundtable that brought together key industry stakeholders to discuss one of the sector's biggest challenges: overcoming viability barriers to unlock development, meet housing targets and create places where people can thrive.

The discussion explored the practical steps needed to facilitate delivery in today's challenging market, with valuable insights shared from across the industry.

Hear our Head of Land, Jack Johnson, reflect on the roundtable as he shares his thoughts on rising build costs and their impact on the London market.

Building Control application's don't have to be a mystery.

Follow our guide to make sure your project has a smooth process.

Step 1.) Log on to the Building Control Process and click start application.
Step 2.) Answer application questions then upload supporting documents.
Step 3.) Choose whether to send a fee request directly to your local authority/RBCA or input the fee they have already disclosed to you.
