Green Play Project Wild & wonderful giant marble runs, bespoke play equipment and natural play spaces.

We are based on a farm just outside Bristol where we hand build all our play equipment. We offer a full design service including concept visuals, technical drawings & planning submissions and have a skilled team of carpenters, landscapers, artists and metal workers. We use trusted companies for specialist services such as safety surface installation and we are experienced at working in historical or sensitive landscapes minimising disruption to wildlife and visitors.

Have you been to Exploratree at Westonbirt Arboretum? A place where active and imaginative play collide with exploration and investigation!

We created a playful and imaginative environment where children become explorers, scavengers or plant hunters, venturing into the surrounding woodland and returning to a central base camp to explore their treasures.

The design prioritises inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that children of all ages and abilities, as well as parents and carers, can fully engage with the space. Key features include centrally located, fully accessible play structures, two inclusive circulation routes (a smooth rubber mulch path and a DDA-compliant timber walkway) and sensory-rich elements throughout.

The layout includes ample seating and quiet areas for rest or retreat to further enhance the accessibility and comfort of the space.

It looks wonderful in the summer sun, shown in these photos - but autumn is a great time to visit too. What treasures will you find in the forest to explore and investigate?

Why settle for standard equipment when play can be a work of art?

We love including carving into our playgrounds to bring a theme to life. Each unique timber sculpture helps transform play areas into story-rich landscapes that instantly spark children's imaginations.

Playgrounds aren't all about active physical play, it's vital to have spaces where children can retreat.

Our Reading Dens are the perfect place to take some time out from the hustle and bustle of the playground to read, rest or observe.
