There will soon be an Offer Document, produced by Bristol City Council, outlining the plans EARTH TMO Ltd have for the service provision. The Offer Document will be distributed by Bristol City Council. Following the Offer Document there will be a ballot of all Council tenants in the St Judes and part of Easton area. The majority of responses to the ballot will determine the outcome, so if the majo
rity of the votes are cast 'No' the services will stay with Bristol City Council. If the majority of votes cast are 'Yes' then EARTH TMO Ltd will take over the running of the services in the area. There are over 230 Tenant Management Organisations around the country, that are already successfully providing services to their community, whilst consulting and involving local people in the decisions that affect their day to day lives, community and housing services. Bristol City Council will still be your landlord and EARTH TMO Ltd will not take over your home. If there is a Yes vote in the ballot EARTH TMO Ltd will start to employ their own staff, with the Caretakers in the area being TUPED over and employed directly by EARTH TMO Ltd (this will mean that the Caretakers will have the same condidtions as they currently have with Bristol City Council).
