****OUTSTANDING SERVICE AWARD - THE ULYSSES TRUST***

Congratulations to our District Staff Officer (Adventure Training & Duke of Edinburgh), Petty Officer (SCC) Mark Grindrod, who has today been informed that he has been selected to receive The Ulysses Trust for Oustanding Service Award in recognition of his exceptional contribution to adventurous and challenging activities within the Sea Cadets.

PO Grindrod is the driving force behind AT and DofE activity in West Wales District, whilst also supporting his own unit of Swansea - Sea Cadets in the same way. He also regularly supports other Units in ensuring they are able to offer the DofE award scheme to their cadets too.

Very well deserved PO and we look forward to the presentation of your award in the coming months!

​Last week saw a change of command at Fishguard Sea Cadets. After nearly 3 years, the Commanding Officer, SLt (SCC) Charlie Mustoe RNR has decided to stand down from the role.

​A massive thank you to SLt (SCC) Charlie Mustoe RNR for everything you have done for the Unit during your tenure. We are incredibly grateful for your dedication, hard work and commitment to your time as CO. Thank you for everything you have done for our cadets! Thankfully, Sir is remaining at the Unit as a valued Instructor and part of the Unit Training Team. 👏

​We would also like to officially welcome Lt (SCC) Steve Grant RNR, who is stepping up as our new Officer in Charge (OiC).
