Old Market is an exciting and vibrant area of Bristol city. Based in the centre it is ideally placed between the new Enterprise Zone, Temple Meads Train Station and Cabot Circus Shopping Centre making it a great destination for visitors. During the evenings and weekends Old Market transforms into a lively and colourful entertainment centre with many bars and clubs offering live acts. ⚠️ Police warning ahead of protest⚠️

Anyone wearing a face covering during a protest in Bristol city centre tomorrow evening may be arrested, police have warned.
The warning comes after a far-right group called Bristol Rises announced they would be staging what they said was an ‘emergency protest’ this Friday (October 9).
The protest is due to start at 7pm at College Green, off Park Street, with counter-protestors gathering from 6.30pm.
The protest was called after some members of Bristol Rises were at the centre of a disturbance outside the main Bristol University building on Monday morning.
A counter-protest has been called by a coalition of anti-racism groups, including Stand Up To Racism, which is set to gather from 6.30pm, to challenge the Bristol Rises event.
Avon and Somerset Police have said officers will be in attendance to enable participants’ right of freedom of expression and assembly, while safeguarding those in attendance and the wider community.
A dispersal zone will be in place in much of the city centre tomorrow evening, together with additional police powers to arrest anyone wearing a face covering.
