We are housing association for Bristol and surrounding areas created following the merger of United Communities and Solon South West in April 2021. We had a great time seeing customers and listening to their views and experiences at our customer community event in St Werburghs last week. It was a hot day😎 but the mature trees in Summers Place communal garden provided some lovely shade.

Thanks to all our customers who braved the heatwave to come and chat with us and enjoy free freshly baked pizza.🍕 We had really valuable conversations about their homes, our services and local issues.

Thanks too to our repairs contractor Ian Williams and their fabulous seed planting activity🪴and grounds maintenance and communal cleaning contractor AAFD Services Ltd for coming to chat with customers. Thanks also to local community partners Stand Against Racism & Inequality, St Werburghs Community Centre, Resolve West and Full Circle Youth Services.

The Mental Health Foundation has put together ten top actions to support good mental health. These simple actions may help lift your mood and improve your ability to cope with life. Here are a few. You can find more in their website.

Try a few and find out what works for you.

☑️Plan something to look forward to. This could be sitting down for a cup of tea or a trip away. Big or small the important thing is to plan it. 💪
☑️Eat well. Eating a balanced, healthy diet improves mental health and supports your emotional health. Small habits like tying to stay hydrated, having fruit snacks can help make changes stick easier.🍎
☑️Get close to nature - spend time outdoors can boost your mood and help with concentration🌳
☑️Get good sleep - helps your brain, lifts your mood and is good for overall health😴
☑️Move regularly - boost mood and self-esteem and helps manage stress🏊

We're proud to be supporting Mental Health Foundation and this year's theme 'action' 💪 It's a reminder that small actions can make a big difference.

It doesn't have to be difficult. Small actions like opening your windows, letting fresh air and natural light come in🔆, reading a great book📖 or phoning a friend for a chat 😁- can all help boost your mood.

❗️allpay changes - what to do before Monday 11 May if you pay rent by allpay❗️

allpay is upgrading to a new platform called 'allpayments' on Monday 11 May 2026.

If you pay your rent on the allpay app you need to 👉
- sign up to the new allpayments app before 11 May - download it from the Apple or Google Play stores.

You need your current username and password to log in to the new app.

If you pay by allpay online 👉you'll be directed to the new allpayments website from 11 May.

You can use the current app and website to pay your rent until Sunday 10 May.

Every customer home needs an up-to-date Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).🏠

Over the coming weeks, some customers will be contacted to arrange an EPC survey. The survey helps us check your home's current energy rating so that we can:

- make sure EPCs meet the latest national standards
- work towards all our customer homes reaching EPC 'C' by 2030
- support our long-term zero carbon plans

If your home needs an updated EPC our survey partner, Pennington Choices, will contact you directly to make an appointment.
