Planting at Montpelier station (on the Severn Beach Line) by station volunteers

Thank you to the 3 volunteers (who also help to look after Redland station) - the plants were bought from Brackenwood Garden centre at Abbots Leigh (not far from Ashton Court and over the Clifton Suspension bridge) Website at -: https://www.brackenwoodgc.co.uk/

The staff out there are knowledgeable and helpful - plenty of plants purchased - a well deserved coup of coffee was had (with a delicious sweet treat) - the car was then packed and back to Montpelier station where we unloaded the purchases and planted them

The opportunity to refresh the metal bike racks was also done as well as the flower bed

Please take a look and keep an eye on the plants progress

Thank you to the station volunteers once again

Volunteers will keep an eye on the plants for watering, weeding etc

Thank you to GWR community grant funding for help in supplying grants and continued support and also to Severnside Community Rail Partnership for their support too

New signs for cycle racks

New signs to the cycle racks (behind the shelter) at Montpelier station have been put up recently (after a meeting with GWR station manager for the Severn Beach Line and Severnside Community Rail Partnership.

There are spaces for up to 4 bikes - there are also spaces at the metal racks (again for up to 4 bikes

Worried about security - there is a CCTVB camera in the shelter and this should cover the cycle racks

Please do NOT put you bike to the railings on the station side as there could be an official notice on it and then taken away - please use the racks provided

Both Redland & Montpelier stations have art work and have posters up

There will be an update provided by Severnside Community Rail Partnership, as the recently opened Ashley Down station has artwork (2024)

Posters will be updated as and when they are provided

Use the bar code on the posters for further information

Thank you to Severnside Community Rail Partnership for providing the poster and any updates as they arise
