💐 In loving memory 💐
We’re very sad to inform you that Jo Moore, our fantastic longstanding Chair, passed away on 9th July 2026, with the funeral taking place last week.
💚 Jo loved and cared for our local nature reserve and was dedicated to improving it.
🌳 She was one of the founding members of our Friends group in 2015.
🎠 She played a major role in producing the new playground on Eastwood Road in 2022.
🏅 Jo represented us in the Parks Forum and was awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2021 for her efforts.
👑 She organised the arts and crafts table at Briz Day, making flower crowns with the children,
👣 and led walks around the Farm, as part of Walkfest, passing on her knowledge of the nature reserve and its history.
📝 She also wrote our newsletter, using her light literary style to make it a pleasure to read.
💚 Jo was a very gentle force at the heart of our group – thoughtful, caring and persevering.
She inspired us all and we’ll all miss her greatly.

💐 In honour of Jo, we will be holding a Memorial Walk on Saturday 22nd August at 11.00am, sharing memories and showing the Eastwood Farm that she loved so much. All are welcome, so please join us if you can. Details available below 👇
