MEETING OF THE FULL COUNCIL

At this meeting, the Town Council will agree its formal response to the Mathill Road application (P/2026/0148). Members of the public are welcome to attend, and there will be an extended period for public participation to allow for greater involvement in the discussion.

The meeting will be held Scala Hall to accommodate an expected high level of public attendance, however, we still have capacity limits to keep to and entry will be on a first come basis, please aim to arrive early.

🔔Finance and General Purposes Committee meeting - 8th June 2026

Brixham Town Council meetings are held in the Function Room at Brixham Town Hall, with doors opening at 5:30pm for meetings to begin at 6pm.

At the beginning of council meetings there are 15 minutes allocated to the public for questions and discussions, so if you have something you wish to discuss or raise to your councillors, do come along to your next meeting!

Our friends at Brixham Museum are hosting a Volunteer Open Hour tonight, giving you the chance to find out more about the many volunteering opportunities available behind the scenes at one of Brixham's most treasured attractions.

Meet current volunteers and trustees, ask questions, learn about different roles, and enjoy a friendly chat over drinks and nibbles.

REMINDER: Community & Environment Committee Meeting tonight

We invite residents to join us this evening for an important meeting of the Community & Environment Committee. Items on tonight’s agenda include:

- Review of recent grant applications
- Review of sponsorship requests
- Legacy funding considerations
- Updates and discussion on key proposals, including, Empty Shopfront initiatives for Fore Street, Financial support for Brixham Museum and Wild Swimming Shelters proposal

These meetings play a vital role in shaping decisions that affect our town. Attending is a valuable opportunity to stay informed and have your voice heard on matters that impact our local community. The first 15 minutes are reserved for public participation, giving residents the chance to raise issues and speak directly with Committee members.

Each year, Brixham Town Council provides funding to local community groups and organisations helping to make a real difference across our town — from improving wellbeing and bringing people together, to creating opportunities for residents and visitors alike. 🌟

During the 2025–2026 financial year, we were proud to award an incredible £36,961.13 in community grants to support a wide range of local initiatives and projects across Brixham. 👏

We’d like to celebrate and thank all the organisations and groups who successfully secured funding and continue to make such a positive impact in our community.
