Our hard working Parish Councillors, Mike and Mark, fixing the safety surface 👏

Please be aware that due to excessive temperatures the soft play surface around the seesaw has lifted in places and presents a trip hazard. This has now been marked with cones for your safety and as a short term measure.
A contractor repair is approximately £1500 to patch the lifted areas, a figure the Parish Council would struggle to meet. We are applying for grants to replace the seesaw and it's surface and spending £1500 as a stop gap is poor use of funds.

We are ordering materials to patch a strip of the soft surface ourselves with the aim of doing the work next week, this is at a cost of a less than £200. So please bear with us.

If anyone has a portable cement mixer they could loan us for a day to allow us to mix the rubber and resin it would speed things up considerably, plea see message me if you do.

In the interim however pease take care in the play area.

Wrawby Recyclers are organising a village litter pick on Sunday 24th May. Starting at 10.30am from the village hall. If you have any litter picking equipment please bring it with you, although spare equipment will be available.

The Wrawby Flower Bed and Planters group are also seeking volunteers to help maintain the beds around the village. If interested please pop along for a chat or message Wendy Chaplain

New Recycling Bins are Arriving!
Teams are delivering new bins across the area to make sure every household has the right bin in place ahead of April.
If your new burgundy bin has arrived, here’s what to do:

Keep using your current burgundy bin for now.
Put it out one last time on your usual collection day to be emptied.
Once emptied, leave it empty and visible for us to pick it up, usually within a week.
After that, use your new, larger burgundy bin for plastic and cardboard, just as before.
Keep using your kerbside boxes for paper, tins and glass until the end of March.

If you haven’t received your new bin yet, don’t worry - it’s on its way. Until then, please continue recycling as normal.
Nothing else is changing just yet.

From 6th April, the new burgundy bin will be used for all dry recycling, with no sorting or separating needed - making recycling simpler for everyone.

We are really pleased to welcome our new co-opted councillor Theresa Rogers.
Theresa has lived in the village for more than three years and is bringing a lot of professional experience and management skills to the Council.
