Preparations are underway for this year's Poppy Appeal, organised locally by 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡.

A tremendous amount of work goes into the annual appeal, and Bude-Stratton Town Council would like to thank Dave for his continued dedication and commitment.

Meanwhile, a community effort is underway to refresh the Remembrance decorations at Shalder Hill:

• Budehaven Community School is refreshing the poppy wave.
• Greenfield Engineering in Holsworthy is supplying new crosses.
• Bott Ltd in Bude is supplying new metal poppies.

Materials have also been generously sponsored by the local Royal British Legion, Royal Naval Association and Royal Marines Association.

The refreshed decorations are expected to be in place at the beginning of November.

Dave and fellow local veterans will also be collecting for the Poppy Appeal at Morrisons and the top of Belle Vue throughout the Remembrance period.
