🌊 Future Coast Bude Project Funding – Have Your Say

Following the recent Community Conversation event, Future Coast Bude is now inviting further feedback through an online survey.

The survey asks for views on possible future coastal projects and options in areas including Crooklets, Summerleaze and the South West Coast Path.

☕ It takes around 10-15 minutes to complete, so grab a cuppa and let them know what matters most to you.

The resources explore how Bude’s coastline has changed over time, share historical information about familiar local places and explain some of the coastal processes shaping it today.

🎉 Congratulations to Bude Stratton Community Project on 30 years of supporting the local community through Neetside Community Centre and Berries Community Cafe.

Their BIG Birthday Bash takes place on Saturday 6 June and looks set to be a great community day with live music, stalls, games, food and more. 👏

Future Coast Bude is hosting a free evening social for ages 16–35 on Thursday 14 May at The 2 Minute Foundation HQ, old Pitch & Putt building at Crooklets.

🚶 Coastal walk
💬 Relaxed conversation about the future of Bude’s coastline

This is a chance for young people to share what matters most to them and help shape the long-term vision for Bude’s coast.

This is not a council meeting – it’s your meeting.

Join us on Tuesday 19 May at 6.30pm at the Parkhouse Centre to hear local updates, ask questions and take part in discussions about the parish.

Topics include:

– Beavers and local rivers
– Connect Bude’s bus survey
– Community fire service updates
– Town Council and local organisation updates

🌊 Happening tomorrow at the Parkhouse Centre!

Future Coast Bude’s next Community Conversation is taking place on Saturday 9 May from 10am–2pm — and everyone is welcome to drop in and get involved.

Explore Bude’s coastline through interactive displays, short films, an interactive map, CoastCraft and more.

There’ll also be opportunities to share your views and help shape the Coastal Vision for Bude.

Congratulations to Cllr Tony Gibbs on being elected Mayor for Bude-Stratton Town Council and to Cllr Katie Aulsberry-Vockins on being elected Deputy Mayor at last night’s Annual Council Meeting.

We wish them both every success in their roles over the coming year and look forward to supporting them as they represent our community.

We would also like to thank outgoing Mayor Cllr Mike Dawe and outgoing Deputy Mayor Cllr Herbert-Coulson for their service over the past year.
