For this upcoming session, we’ll be hosting a special discussion on modern masculinity with local counsellor John Walter. This will be an opportunity to explore what it means to be a man today, challenge outdated narratives, and have honest, supportive conversations in a safe environment.
John was born in Bude in the fifties and his first male role model was Jimi Hendrix.
By the eighties John was already deep into facilitating men’s groups, storytelling, wilderness work and running sweat lodges - an ancient right of passage ceremony used by tribes all over the world. He also spent fifteen years facilitating drum circles, building community and connection through rhythm. Along the way John also served as a teacher, foster parent, and now counsellor, working in Bude with individuals and couples helping people develop better relationships with themselves and those around them. He’s been asking questions about what it means to be a man for a long time so we look forward to welcoming John to the men’s circle for what will be a fascinating and thought provoking evening.
This is your chance to connect with a supportive group of men walking the path of self improvement together. We look forward to seeing you there.
Voluntary donation to help cover room hire costs is £5. No pressure, but if you can afford it we appreciate the support.
