Bude Community Fire Station is run by on-call firefighters with 18 crew members; including 1 Station Manager, 1 Watch Manager and 2 Crew Managers. The station is home to two Major pumping appliances and two Swift Water Rescue vehicles. The area covered by our station reaches as far as Morwenstow and into parts of Devon, and down as far as Crackington Haven. Our training evenings are every Monday (

excluding Bank Holidays) between the hours of 18:00 and 21:00. Should you wish to make contact or visit, please do so within these hours when someone will be guaranteed available. For non emergencies, contact our Critical Control Centre on 01872 320205.

🎉 TRIPLE CELEBRATION FOR BUDE CREW! 🎉

What a week! On Monday we headed to Truro for the annual Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service Medal Ceremony - and the Bude team did us proud:

🔥 Firefighter Clark - an incredible 30 years of service
🔥 Firefighter Hinson, Firefighter Cornish & Crew Manager Day - 20 years long service & good conduct

But that’s not all…
🚒 Bude Fire Station was awarded the Chief Fire Officer Appreciation Award for outstanding teamwork and fundraising efforts over recent years.

What an INCREDIBLE Open Day 2025! 🚒 Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported. Huge thanks to Darren Cornish for his amazing £1700 ‘March for March’ fundraiser donation, helping us raise a total of £4200 for the Fire Fighters Charity, plus £1000 for the Bude Area Toy Library 🙌 Big shout-out to Abby’s Icecream Treats, Bungee trampolines and amusements, Hoof to Block Butchery, Smiley and Sweary Scrapbook Adventures in Cornwall, Devon and Beyond and all the local businesses who generously donated. And of course, thank you Bude community & visitors - as always, you made it a day to remember! ❤️

We're opening our doors to Bude Fire Station so you can meet the crew, see the fire engines and take part in other fun and games - as well as getting to meet 🐻 Bring your appetite - we're running our BBQ, cake stall and other treats available throughout the day. Our chosen charities this year are The Fire Fighters Charity and The Bude Area Toy Library - so join us for a great day and let's raise some money for these superb charities! Plenty of family fun - as well as the fire engines and stocks, we have a spectator raffle, tea, coffee, cakes, tombola, Abby’s Icecream Treats and toys out from the Toy Library to play with. Ever wanted to sit in the big red truck? 🚒 Here’s your chance! Join us for our annual Community Fire Station Open Day and get up close with the crew (and our furry friend Blaze Bear 🐻). Explore the gear, check out the engines, and see what it really takes to keep our community safe. If you're feeling brave, try your aim at soaking our firefighters in the stocks with a few well-aimed wet sponges! We've got the AMAZING Jacky's Cakes, drinks and of course our sizzling BBQ with locally sourced meat from Hoof to Block Butchery.
