Pendeen Car Boot Sales At Stratton.

Delighted to say my target of £10,000 this season has just been reached and if a few more sales are achieved can take the total even further. 🙂
With what I would call half a sale £298.75 donated Bank Holiday Monday so that is an extremely good figure considering. So, I as I do personally every week THANK EVERYONE that donated in appreciation of our sale which I could easily have cancelled with the varying forecasts.
SPECIAL THANKS to our collectors who turn up whatever the weather and give their time so freely to help raise the money for our local hospital for a couple of hours when I’m sure even on a bank holiday, they could be elsewhere. With out them I couldn’t raise the magnificent sum already raised.
THANKS to Christine, John & Pat, Michael & Cynthia for collecting yesterday, to support The League of Friends of Stratton Hospital. Total now raised £10,222.14 to date.
THANKS SO MUCH to all those that support this so worthy cause and the League are so grateful to all and me.
THANK YOU for all the support yesterday in making Pendeen so popular and worthwhile in opening.
Next sales Sunday September 6th,13th,20th,27th.🤔

We pulled it off today opening for a Bank Holiday Monday with over 100 sellers and as forecast it did stay dry for the afternoon.
Thanks to the regular sellers that braved our decision well Keiths and to all the newer sellers at Pendeen we welcome you and pleased if you had a very good sale with us. In all it was a very pleasant sale enjoyable to see the pleasure given to so many. Next Sunday we will probably double numbers if the forecast is dry?
Just a slight hiccup whoever was at the front at 1pm pushing to come in before Karl had given the go ahead. This is Sandra's, Karl's and my car boot sale we are in control not you. Pendeen wouldn't run if it wasn't for us. For you to say if it wasn't for you there would be no sale was a rather ridiculous thing to say and Karl's not sure if you swore when passing him on entering. Karl is very sensitive so be careful in future or go elsewhere. It is our prerogitive to hold the crowd if for any reason there's a delay with something as we have always done in the past. Behave and await Karls go ahead he's the boss after all.

Well the rain chucked it down at 1.30pm today so cancellation correct decision. Now to prove opening tomorrow BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY AUGUST 31st is the correct decision. 🤔

Obviously tomorrow Sunday is cancelled August 30th but we will OPEN BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 31st. It's going to be breezy Monday and there is a possibility of some rain first thing but clearing after. So come prepared, come later if you so wish. There will be many visitors around so hopefully BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY can justify PENDEEN opening and proving sucessful for sellers. Gazebos NO NO. 🙂🙂

A washout for this weekend as warned of beginning of the week so SUNDAY AUGUST 30th IS CANCELLED. BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY varying forecasts so we hold off making a decision on Monday as yet. 🤔If we can have a dry day on Monday could be a big sale but we need the forecasts to agree.

Donations on a high again for Sunday August 23rd £600.87

Thanks to Freda, Mary, Di, John, Michael and Cynthia for collecting.

I so appreciate the appreciation shown it’s a long day for me from 5.30am to 5.30pm on site. But to have this amount donated makes my day so worthwhile knowing our local hospital will benefit.

It’s also a long day for some sellers travelling in the early hours to be at Pendeen so early and staying until end of sale and then having to travel back to the likes of Plymouth and elsewhere.

We hear the comments about other car boot sales and how disgusting their toilet facilities are and being packed into a small sales area and how folk want everything for 50p or less. Thieving another issue. Just wonder what the other sales hear about us? 🤔

But after 30 years now, 6 at Rockbank we plan to open again another year EASTER SUNDAY MARCH 28th 2027 weather permitting with TEAM PENDEEN, knowing that Pendeen is still as popular as ever. 🙂

Thanks to Paul’s Photography & Drone Media Group This is our sale today 266 sellers hopefully enough room to set up as we don't want gaps we like to keep the sale as compact as is needed. If more room is needed just say within reason and we will do our best to accommodate you. Terrific atmosphere on site with so many compliments. Huge crowd in to support the sellers with goods that was wanted. On the whole very pleased with today just so tired with lack of sleep last night due to another function going on all night into this morning when even being on site setting up.
Still uncertain as to the coming bank holiday weekends weather? But this has to be one of the best August sales ever with so many folk from 1pm for the last four weeks. 🤔 THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT MAKE PENDEEN AS POPULAR AS IT IS. 🙂
