Our Patrol and Response team have responded to 14 call outs since midnight as a result of

They’ve had CCTV activations, fire alarms, and intruder alarms caused by the wind rattling loose fire exit doors.

In one case, the wind had blown an insecure window open.

We’re looking to expand our business by recruiting enthusiastic, flexible and reliable Mobile Patrol and Response Security Officers covering the Sussex and Surrey Area.

The role will include locking and unlocking our client’s premises, site patrols and alarm response. You will join an established team but will benefit from full training and development with the business. Of course, full uniform and company vehicle will be provided. Holiday pay is provided at 5.6 weeks per annum.

You must hold a current SIA licence and a full manual driving licence and ideally have mobile patrol experience but, if you don't, please apply as we are willing to train and develop you.

If you live within 45 minutes of Burgess Hill, or are planning on relocating, and you can provide a full 5-year employment history, including periods of unemployment, education, and extended time spent abroad, in line with BS:7858, then we’d love to hear from you.

Did you know that most Fire & Rescue Services no longer attend fire alarm activations in low risk commercial buildings unless there is a confirmed fire?

Surrey Fire and Rescue implemented this policy in October 2022

West Sussex Fire & Rescue implemented this in December 2022.

and East Sussex Fire & Rescue are set to adopt this policy from April 2024.

Don't forget, if we are your key holders, you should make sure we have access to your fire alarm panel keys, and that we have up to date information regarding your fire alarm system including accessible zone maps and installer information.

While most of our Patrol & Response calls turn out to be false alarms, sometimes we get called to genuine intruders.

Last night we attended an incident with Sussex Police - 5 response cars, a Police dog unit, and a Police drone officer, supported Amy, our Response Officer, and Nick, our Team Leader.

Once it was established the intruders were no longer on scene, they resecured the property and liaised with the emergency contact to update them.
