The wonderful Sussex Green Living Eco Float is broken! ☹️

Since launching the retrofitted milk float in 2021, it has helped take environmental education to schools, community events and their monthly Sussex Green Hub, but now needs urgent repairs costing £1,550.

The Eco Float helps inspire people across Sussex to take action for the planet, and with several events coming up, they really need your help to get back on the road.

🚚 It doesn't matter how much you can chip in, even the price of a coffee, it will help get the Eco Float back on the road.

🚫 Please take a few minutes to object to the Horse Hill oil application.

You may remember that in 2024 the Supreme Court overturned planning permission for the Horse Hill oil site near Gatwick after ruling that the climate impacts of burning the oil had not been properly assessed.

The company is now back with a revised application seeking another 20 years of oil production, and Surrey County Council will decide whether it goes ahead.

Our friends at Weald Action Group have produced a simple guide to help you write an objection. You don't need to be a planning expert, simply explain why you think approving another fossil fuel development is the wrong choice.

At a time when we need to be accelerating the transition to homegrown renewable energy, approving another oilfield and sending more than 2.3 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere would take us in the wrong direction.

Please add your voice and help show Surrey County Council that public opposition remains as strong as ever.

🛠️ They also give their time to teach you how to problem-solve, or make repairs yourself. All in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. So why not come along to see how it is all done.
