Burnley Green Party

💚 Good news for Burnley!

Burnley has been selected for £222,000 in funding through the government's Good Food Neighbourhoods programme! 🌱

With the cost of living continuing to put pressure on households, improving access to affordable, nutritious food has never been more important.

The funding could help strengthen our local food network, build on the fantastic work already happening through Community Grocers and Burnley Together, and support healthier, more resilient communities.

Because everyone deserves access to good food, regardless of their income or circumstances.

The funding is subject to formal approval, with Burnley Council set to consider it on 21st October.

A positive step towards a fairer, healthier Burnley. 💚

Moving on from the local elections, we want to say this clearly:
We’re still here.

Thank you to everyone who voted Green, spoke to us, shared our posts, delivered leaflets, asked questions, challenged us, or simply paid attention.

We didn’t get the result we wanted - but the reasons we stood have not gone away.

Burnley still needs warmer homes, better services, cleaner streets, safer communities, stronger public transport, and politics that listen before it talks.

So we’re not disappearing until the next election.

Real change starts locally.
And we’re ready to keep building it.

What should Burnley Green Party focus on next?

A lot of people are asking the same question right now:
“Who should I vote for to actually make a difference?”

In Burnley, the reality is simple:
📍 Some wards are close
📍 Some aren’t

If you want your vote to have the biggest impact, it’s worth understanding where it counts most.

💬 Message us if you’re unsure we’ll give you a clear, honest answer.

Voting isn’t just about change.
It’s about accountability.

When turnout is high:
✔ Councillors have to listen
✔ Decisions reflect real communities
✔ Power is shared properly

When turnout is low… that accountability disappears.

🗳️ May 7th - show up. And don't forget grab a drink AFTER you vote 😛

7 days to go.

This election is coming down to a real choice in Burnley:

📍 Division or community
📍 Noise or solutions
📍 Protest votes or practical change

In places like Brunshaw, it’s close.
That means the result isn’t decided - it’s decided by who turns up.

If you don’t want Burnley pulled in the wrong direction, this is the moment to act.
