Busy day for Bank Hall !

Following on from the busy Sunday we had helping out with the Royal Dyche, Omar Iqbal contacted Bank hall councillors asking us to join him today for an early morning litter pick- his last day at work and he wanted to celebrate by making all his colleagues litter pick in Bank hall!

Thank you to all the team at BT for spending the morning with us🙏🏻

Went on to Leyland for a meeting with Residents who have done an amazing job with the play area and discussed how we can continue to support them!

We picked up the drink donations from Refreshco for thank you to all that came to help 🙏 and a massive shout out and thanks to Reshrehco!

Lovely planning meeting at the park with park rangers Michelle and Trevor to round off for the countdown to Sunday!

Be part of a community effort to help give the Town 2 Turf route a little extra TLC 💗

Residents, local businesses, community organisations and Burnley BID are coming together for a volunteer clean-up this Saturday, helping to make one of Burnley’s busiest routes look its best.

📅 Saturday 8th August
🕘 9am - 12 noon
📍 Meet outside Buzz Bingo, Church Street

All equipment and hi-vis clothing will be provided and are courtesy of Burnley’s Streetscene team and Huws Gray - just wear sensible clothing and sturdy footwear.

A huge thank you to Justine from The Royal Dyche whose enthusiasm has been a driving force in bringing local businesses, partners and volunteers together to make this community event happen.

It was a pleasure to join residents in Queensgate for the community barbeque on the Birch Rd estate. Neighbours coming together to get to know eachother over great food and conversation. Well done to all involved in putting this together. An example for all our communities. Special mention for Aqib Khan who spent all afternoon making burgers!!

Sehrish Lone with Cllr Afrasiab Anwar MBE and Lubna Khan out today on our normal ward walk today, covered a large area from the bottom of Queen Victoria Road to Thursby park.

Emailed some jobs through that aren’t Streetscene and logged everything else in the app Love Clean Streets app. Some streets were really wonderful and tidy!

Spoke to many Residents today but nice to get a pic with Asad Addy Mahmood and Bilal.

Had a little helper come out to inspect the ward with us!
