12 months of delay could have been avoided.

Burnley’s remaining six wards are currently set to wait until September 2027 for the proposed Article 4 Directive to come into effect.

We proposed putting immediate controls on HMOs now.

We’ve moved £250,000 into the Housing Initiatives Reserve, and we’ll now press the Executive to use this funding to put an immediate Article 4 Direction in place across the remaining six wards.

Neighbouring authorities have already taken the step of introducing immediate directions. We believe Burnley should be able to act now too.

We said: act now. They didn't.

We are incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of our long-standing colleague, Marcus.

We will forever be in awe of his public service and his dedication to his values. A true socialist through and through.

We will share funeral details with our members in due course.

£2.5m WASTE TRANSFER STATION IS COMING TO HEASANDFORD

Not in my backyard - Lib Dem’s, Greens and Conservatives force Lanehead & Briercliffe to be the place where 30000 tonnes of stinking household waste will be transported every year for 25 years.

Lib Dem Group Leader and spokesperson on waste matters at Burnley Council said “I am extremely pleased”.

Why is Burnley money filling Fylde's potholes?!

In 2026/27: Padiham will get 1 road resurfaced, Burnley will get 5, and Brierfield will get 2.

They've had a big increase in pothole funding, but they're spending it all somewhere else!

Our Reform County Councillors are not giving Burnley, Padiham, and Brierfield our fair share.
