UPDATE - I have written to Transportation today in regard to the questions that are coming in on the comments section of this post and also those emailed in. When I have a response I will provide a further update.

🛑 A921 Road Closure - Today - 8th October

🛑 I have had considerable correspondence from residents of the surrounding area in regard to this road closure. I have replied to some of this and intend to get back to everyone else who has also done so.

🛑 The closure is during working hours (starting at 09:00hrs) - this is due to the nature of the resurfacing works. Outside of these times (when traffic is lighter) the road will be open with temporary traffic lights in place.

🛑 Some people have commented this road does not require to be resurfaced - I cannot comment on that simply because I am not a roads engineer. This is part of the Area Roads Programme and Transportation have considered that work does need to be carried out.

🛑 Anyone who has young people travelling by bus to Balwearie should have had notification that the school buses will run as usual.

🛑 Alternative routes along the A909 and B9157 are signed as diversion routes.

🛑 Do please contact me with any questions which I will seek answers on. I appreciate this will be inconvenient for many people and is far from ideal.

Last night we opened our doors to 27 men, 7 of them coming through for the first time.

No judgement
No pressure

Just a safe space to get things off your chest.

For anyone looking to come along this is where we meet every Monday (except bank holidays)

Starks Park Raith Rovers FC
* As you come up the ramp just at the Andysmanclub A frame there will facilitators waiting to welcome you in. Plenty of parking up the ramp and behind the Stand as well.
There will be a facilitator standing from 6.45pm with the meeting starting at 7pm 👌
