π Are you heading to university this autumn?
If you're starting university or eligible residential further education this autumn, you may be entitled to a free MenB vaccine, which helps protect against meningococcal group B disease β a rare but serious bacterial infection that can cause meningitis and sepsis.
You may be eligible if you:
β’ Are aged 17β18 (born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008) and registered with a GP in England, or
β’ Were born on or after 21 July 2001 and are starting university or eligible residential further education for the first time this autumn.
International students and students from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, and those travelling abroad to study may also be eligible through participating pharmacies.
The MenB vaccine is given in 2 doses, at least 4 weeks apart.
