Reporting live from a desolate Burton High Street. There is a sense of genuine shock, despair, and total upset tonight as Burton’s white population has made a harrowing discovery: they simply cannot operate without the local Muslim community taxiing them home or feeding them kebabs after a night at the pub. The system has collapsed.

(We got full business rates relief at our old places)

This could potentially cripple us

In another blow to Reform Staffordshire, Cllr Barry Martin has had formal complaints upheld against him for his social media conduct.

Shockingly, this was not for being racist.

Instead, investigations found he breached the Code of Conduct by ignoring official council channels, posting "confusing" messages, and bringing the council into disrepute.

The council has recommended that Reform remove the whip from him following the investigation.

He now faces being stripped of his committee roles and losing the whip.

Staffordshire Budget 2026: Service CUTS and 3% Tax Increase

The council has finalized its 2026 financial plan. Despite these cuts, Council Tax is set to increase by 3%.

Service CUTS:

Busses and Travel: £1 Million CUT

Mobile Libraries: £130,000 CUT

Voluntary Sector: £150,000 CUT

Building Maintenance: £750,000 CUT

Community Safety: £42,000 CUT

Funding Returned to Government:

£4 Million EV Grant: RETURNED

The Bottom Line: Residents are paying 3% more in Council Tax as these cuts are swallowed by rising elder care and inflationary costs.

Councillor Apologises for Offensive Social Media Posts

Peter Mason, a Reform UK Councillor for Burton South, has issued an apology following criticism of his social media posts.

In a statement, Cllr Mason said, "I do regret and apologise for my choice of words."

The apology refers to comments made earlier this year.

An additional post in April 2024 stated: "Utter rubbish the police now are a bunch of politically indoctrinated British hating scum."
