The Independent East Resident Voice Panel (IERVP) brings together residents from five housing associations across Norfolk and Suffolk.

The panel allows residents to share their experiences, discuss issues that matter to them and work with others to drive positive change across the region. Members look beyond their own landlord to identify common challenges, share ideas and influence how housing providers listen and respond to residents.

Earlier this year, our head of comms, Hayley, met with Havebury panel member, Alicia. Watch the video below to find out more about the IERVP and what Alicia enjoys most about her role on the panel.

Have you heard about the Independent East Resident Voice Panel (IERVP)?

The IERVP brings residents from five housing associations across Norfolk and Suffolk together to share their experiences, challenge and influence services, and help shape the future of social housing.

The panel gives residents a chance to have their voices heard beyond their own landlord and work with other residents to identify common issues, share ideas and help drive positive change across the region.

The panel is made up of residents from Havebury, Freebridge Community Housing, Broadland Housing Association, Orwell Housing Association and Saffron Housing Trust Ltd. It is chaired by Tpas England Senior Associate, Samantha Goodwin.

You can find out more about the panel by clicking the link below:

The panel also has its own Facebook group, which residents from all five housing associations can join. You can find it here -

We’ll be sharing more about the panel members and ways you can get involved over the next few weeks.

We’ve launched our new Investment in Homes Strategy, setting out how we’ll invest in our homes, neighbourhoods and communities over the coming years.

Our homes are at the heart of what we do. We want you to have a home that is safe, comfortable, well maintained and suitable for your needs, and we want to make sure our investment is focused where it can make the biggest difference.

Earlier this year, we asked for your views through our Homes and Communities consultation, and more than 370 residents shared their experiences and ideas with us.

You told us about the things that matter most to you, including windows and doors, kitchens and bathrooms, heating, storage and space, and damp and mould. We’ve used what you told us to help shape our investment priorities.

Watch this short video to find out more.

Our drop-in events are informal and open to everyone. You can come along for a chat, ask questions, or find out more about the support and services available to you.

Members of the team will be on hand to:

• Listen to your views, feedback and ideas
• Answer general questions about your home and community
• Share information about our services and how to get involved
• Help point you in the right direction if you need further support

The team members attending may vary from event to event, but we’ll always make sure there’s someone available to listen and help where they can. If we can’t
resolve something on the day, we’ll make sure it’s passed on to the right team.

Our next drop-in is at Westbury Community Centre, Oliver Road, Bury St Edmunds, Ip33 3JG tomorrow (20 August) between 3.30pm and 5pm.

There’s no need to book, just drop in when it suits you.

We hope to see you there.

Our teams and contractors work hard to get homes ready to re-let once a resident moves out.

Today, we want to share with you a small snippet of how we prepare homes for new beginnings, because every home matters.

Here Louis, one of our contract managers explains:

“We gave this home a complete makeover, with an extensive programme of repairs and improvements. The most noticeable were the renewal of the kitchen, bathroom and internal finishes. It’s important to us that we achieve a quick turnaround while maintaining quality, so our residents can settle into a safe, comfortable home they can be proud of.”

A special mention to our Voids, Grounds Maintenance and Electrical teams who worked on this home as well as Ivy Build.
