See information from Healthy Suffolk regarding the recommended nursery room temperature........

Did you know that the recommended nursery room temperature for babies is 16°C to 20°C? A room that is too hot or too cold can increase risks during sleep. Using a room thermometer can help you monitor the temperature and keep your baby comfortable.

For safer sleep, always:

Place your baby on their back to sleep
Keep their sleep space clear of toys, pillows and loose bedding
Keep your baby smoke-free during pregnancy and after birth
Share a room with your baby for at least the first six months

⚠Some parents and carers may have recently received a free nursery room thermometer leaflet that contained incorrect information about the recommended nursery room temperature. These leaflets are no longer available. The correct nursery room temperature is between 16°C and 20°C.
