It was great to join in with the Reclaim the Woods project today at Marham Park Community

A big shoutout to Mandy Emery for a fantastic and well organised day, and her fantastic husband for keeping everyone feed and watered.

It was great to see so many people from both the Howard Estate and Marham Park coming together to tackle a problem jointly.

It was also great to chat to Stacey Dooley from the BBC

Great to work alongside both Councillor Frank Stennett and Andrew Harvey from Waste services West Suffolk Council

Bin Upgraded.

Thanks to fantastic Ross for bringing up that he thought the bin at station hill had out grown its use and letting us know at Bury St Edmunds Town Council Ross noticed this as he litter picks the area regularly.

We brought this up with West Suffolk Council as this is one of their bins and they have now upgraded it to a bigger and better bin for the area.

Flash back to October 2025 where Bury in Bloom teamed up with Bury St Edmunds Town Council to enhance Eastgate street by giving some of the road side posts a good refresh we had the pleasure in teaming up with Chris Wiley from Bury in Bloom yesterday to install 2 brand new flower towers to enhance Eastgate Street.

Look out over the next few days as they will be planted up by Chris 🌷

It was great to spend the morning linking up with the volunteers from Bury in Bloom on the smile bed, lending a hand to shovel 🪏 the compost and then help to plant the bed out.

This has to be one of the best entry points coming into bury and the name is certainly right “ the smile bed” it sure does make you smile on the way into work in the mornings.

It’s nice to work on each other’s projects.

Partnership working at its best!
