Yesterday, our upper KS2 football team took part in the first Keep Learning Trust tournament at Gigg Lane in Bury. The tournament was organised into a group stage, followed by semi-finals and a final. Our team comprising of Anton, Harrison, Ted, Jayden, Lyla, Eve, George, Max, Oliver and Evan were outstanding, with 4 wins out of 4 matches in the group stage and a very close semi-final, where Old Hall beat Radcliffe 1:0 to take us to the final. Sadly, the Keep Cup went home with Greenmount, as we lost 0:1 in the final, but our children showed excellent sportsmanship and we were very proud of each and every one of them. Special thanks to the parents and carers who came along in support.

We were treated to a wonderful assembly by team Year 2 today all about 'Special People' and how we are surrounded by special people who help us, care for us, love us and guide us everyday. It was the perfect way to start the day, with many a tear shed by our parent and carer visitors. Well done to everyone in Year 2!

A special message for our wonderful Year 6 pupils ahead of SATs next week. You have all worked so hard this year and it is your time to shine, but remember you are worth more than a score on a test paper on a given day and we are so proud of you for the wonderful people you are!

And just in case you have forgotten, here is another reminder:

SATs don’t measure sports

Our Year 1 children have visited Purbeck Park for the third time this year to look for signs of seasonal change as part of their science work across the year. Needless to say, there were some striking differences this time in comparison to January.
