🚨𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧 𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗨 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲.

The legislation includes provisions for "return hubs" outside the EU, where illegal migrants could be transferred before being returned to their country of origin.

Despite the bill passing comfortably by 418 votes to 218, Sinn Féin opposed it, with party representatives describing the proposals as "racist and xenophobic."

Don’t forget that Armed Forces Day 2026 takes place this Saturday, 20th June, from 10am–4pm, with a packed programme of events for all the family. 👏

The day will include:

✈️ RAF flypast and RAF Falcons parachute display
🚛 Military vehicles and interactive exhibits
🎶 Live music and entertainment throughout the day
🇬🇧 An opportunity to recognise and thank those who serve, or have served, in our Armed Forces

This promises to be one of the biggest events of the summer and a fantastic day out for residents and visitors alike.

🎶 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 🎶

Portrush is playing host to the Antrim Junior County Orange Association Annual Parade, welcoming Junior Boys’ and Junior Girls’ Lodges, bands and supporters from across Northern Ireland and beyond.

With participants travelling from Counties Antrim, Tyrone, Londonderry, Donegal, Fermanagh and Belfast, it promises to be a fantastic day celebrating music, tradition and fellowship.

Best wishes to everyone taking part, particularly Drumaheagles Junior LOL 99 and Benvarden Flute Band. 👏🥁🎺
