It’s going to be epic!!!

It's going to be a scorcher! 🔥 Temperatures are set to soar across Wales, with forecasters predicting highs of up to 30C as a heatwave hits the country.

Weather maps suggest large parts of Wales could see temperatures approaching 30C.

The Met Office classifies a heatwave as three consecutive days where temperatures meet or exceed 25C in Wales - meaning many areas could officially enter heatwave status.

If you visited us last year, you may not recognise this space.

Our arrivals corridor has undergone a major transformation for the 2026 season, with new displays showcasing fascinating pieces from the railway's history.

Among the exhibits is a chair once owned by the railway's first manager, Gowrie Colquhoun Aitchison, alongside a wartime letter relating to a covert operation and one of the railway's original visitor books.

You'll also find a collection of large historic photographs, offering a glimpse into the people who kept the railway running through the years and helping bring its story to life.

Be sure to take a look when you visit!
