We are incredibly proud and pleased to share that provisional data published by the Department for Education has confirmed that we are the 4th highest performing school across all of Cornwall for the measure known as 'Strong Basics' - the number of students who earn Grade 5 and above in Maths and English. Our results are not only amongst the best in Cornwall, they are also above national figures.

We want to thank our students, parents and carers and teachers for their incredible commitment, work and enthusiasm which all helped shape our culture and enable these results.

Our values of being courageous, ambitious, respectful and encouraging are absolutely demonstrated by these results and are testament to our incredible community.

Very well done again class of 2026! Class of 2027 - we can't wait to see what you do! Your start has been simply amazing.

It's that time of year again, and we are so excited to welcome you to Callington Community College for our C6 Open Evening on Thursday 26th November from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.

We understand that choosing your next steps after Year 11 can feel both exciting and overwhelming. With so many options available, making the right decision is important and we want to provide you with the information, support and guidance you need to make an informed choice.

Our Sixth Form Open Evening is an excellent opportunity for Year 11 students and their parents/carers to meet members of our Senior Leadership Team, Sixth Form staff and subject teachers from across the College. You will be able to explore the range of courses on offer, learn more about life in C6 and discover the academic, pastoral and enrichment opportunities available.

You'll also have the chance to speak with our support staff and current student ambassadors, who can share their experiences and answer any questions you may have about studying in Sixth Form.

Yesterday saw the release of the Department for Education Outcome statistics across the Country and they demonstrate our successes wonderfully!

Callington Sixth Form continues to provide ambitious progression opportunities for students within a rural community setting. The latest DfE destinations data shows that 53.8% of Level 3 leavers progressed to higher education, making Callington the second-highest performing sixth form in WeST for university progression and significantly above both the Cornwall average (40.2%), South West average (38.5%) and the national figure for all schools and colleges (50.4%).

For a small sixth form serving a predominantly rural community, these destinations demonstrate that students are successfully accessing higher education pathways at rates that exceed local and regional norms. Importantly, this is achieved whilst maintaining an inclusive intake and supporting students with a wide range of prior attainment and aspirations.
