🌻☀️ 𝚂𝚄𝙽𝙵𝙻𝙾𝚆𝙴𝚁 𝚂𝙼𝙸𝙻𝙴𝚂 ☀️🌻

What a bloomin’ lovely CST session we had today at Meaningful Moments 💜

Today’s theme was chosen by one of our ladies and everything revolved around beautiful sunflowers 🌻

We shared sunflower facts....(did you know that some sunflowers can grow taller than a house, and that they can also be purple), named flowers using the letters in SUNFLOWER, created our own cheerful sunflower crafts using paper plates and tissue paper, and even planted our very own seeds.

The room was full of laughter, conversation, creativity and sunshine… and to make the day even more special, we welcomed a lovely new lady to our group today too 💜

There was so much chatter that we overran by 15 minutes because nobody wanted to leave 😂

And perhaps that says everything about what these groups truly are…

Not just activities around a table, but a little community garden where everyone has space to bloom 🌻✨

Sometimes after a visit, I sit quietly for a moment and reflect on just how much Meaningful Moments touches not only the person I’m visiting… but the people who love them too 💜

Today I received a message after my very first visit with a new client that truly brought tears to my eyes.

When we think about dementia support, we often focus on the person living with dementia — and rightly so — but sometimes we forget how deeply those little moments impact sons, daughters, husbands, wives and families too.

A smile.
A conversation.
A spark of recognition.
A relaxed afternoon that feels more like a friend visiting than an appointment.

Those moments matter more than words can ever say ✨

I feel incredibly privileged to be allowed into people’s lives and to walk beside families on their journey, creating moments of joy, connection and comfort together.

Creating our own family tree

Today our CST group explored the theme of Family 💜🌳

Together we created a giant family tree filled with stories, imagination, conversation and connection.

Using photographs of unfamiliar faces, each person created characters, relationships and little lives of their own. Slowly, strangers became families 🌸

There were farmers, football fans, grandparents, newly married couples, dancers and children… and before long our tree was blooming with personalities, memories and laughter.

What made today so special was watching everyone naturally begin grouping their flowers together into “proper families,” building connections and shared stories as the session grew ☕💜

Activities like these gently encourage communication, creativity, social interaction and emotional connection — all while feeling relaxed, meaningful and enjoyable.

We Have a Winner! 💜

At 7:20 this morning, during a routine squirrel check…
I spotted something even better 👀
Teddy… casually walking down his new ladder 🪜🐾
No hesitation. No drama. Just a quiet
“yes, this will do nicely.” 😌

After all the planning (and the squirrels showing interest first! 🐿️),
the rightful owner has officially claimed his ladder 💜

Sometimes it’s the smallest, simplest things that make the biggest difference…
