Safe Strides in Surrey Heath: Walk, Jog, talk.

Join women and girls for a friendly walk or jog in a supportive environment. Meet local officers, Big Sister project team members and staff from Places Leisure Camberley, connect with your community, ask questions, share concerns if you wish, and help make Surrey Heath an even safer place for everyone.

Meet your Youth Engagement Officers at the main entrance of Places Leisure Camberley at 16:30 on the 19th August 2026.
From there we will walk to Grand Avenue Recreation Ground. Feel free to come along as part of an initiative to provide a safe space for women and girls to have a walk, jog, run – or simply come to meet your Officers and ask some questions and/or highlight any areas of concern in Surrey Heath.
In partnership with Surrey Police, Places Leisure Centre, Surrey Heath Borough Council.

We will be there for an hour. There is no set distance, pace or time to stay.

Make sure you are suitably dressed, and please bring water bottles.

Officers were called to Chobham Road at the junction of Bicknell Road in Frimley shortly after 6.55am this morning following reports of a collision involving two vehicles at the location.

South East Coast Ambulance Service and Surrey Fire & Rescue were also in attendance. Two people were given medical attention at scene and taken to hospital for further treatment.

Closures were in place on Chobham Road for several hours, but the road has now reopened. No arrests have been made.

We are seeking CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured this incident, as well as information from any eyewitnesses. If you were in the area around Chobham Road and Bicknell Road between 6.50am and 7am this morning or have any information that could assist, please get in touch quoting CAD 0118 25 AUG 26.

VAWG Engagement Event | Bagshot, Surrey Heath with PCSO 15823 Hill - PCSO 19163 Painter

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) engagement event in Bagshot today. It was fantastic to see such a great turnout from members of the community, and we were incredibly pleased to receive such positive feedback from those who attended.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to listen to local concerns, share safety advice, and discuss the ongoing work being carried out to help make our communities feel safer for everyone.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to The Crown Estate, Ordnance Survey, Safest Way and our Surrey Police Volunteer for their support and partnership in making this event a success.

We remain committed to supporting the VAWG agenda and will continue conducting patrols in the woodland areas alongside The Crown Estate, to keep these spaces safe and welcoming for all.

On the 17th August 2026 local officers will be holding an event down from Vicarage Road Bagshot on the Crown Estate Land. We will be raising awareness around Violence Against Women and Girls, given this location being used by dog walkers, cyclists, joggers and more, but please feel free to attend with any other concerns you have in the local community.

We are working in close partnership with the Crown Estate who have kindly allowed us to set up an event.

As well as raising awareness, we will also be aiming to engage with the community with a fun game, and opportunity for children to also attend to see our vehicle and try on uniform.

Please be mindful of parking if attending. We look forward to seeing you 😁

From gloating in the back of a car with bags full of stolen goods, Charlie Woodford (20/06/1999), of Southampton, is now behind bars for robbery and conspiracy to commit burglary for 19 offences across Surrey, Hampshire, and Somerset.
Investigating officer PC Grindlay said, “Woodford believed he could continue offending without consequence, but every time he left some evidence for us to piece together. We investigate relentlessly, and criminals should get used to looking over their shoulders, because sooner or later we will catch you.”

Two arrests in Frimley Green

A recent police visit to an address in Frimley Green has resulted in two arrests following the discovery of equipment linked to cannabis cultivation.

Officers attended the address on Monday (10 August), following reports of suspicious activity. While no cannabis was found, the property contained items suspected to be associated with its production.

A 49-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and have been released on bail while enquiries continue.
