Congratulations to LCpl Simon Davey who has just completed his Army Reserve Advanced Physical Training Instructor course.

The course included advanced physical conditioning and instructional techniques, such as the assault course and combat pt.

LCpl Davey is the band’s Physical Training Instructor and also plays French horn within the band.

Members of the Army Reserves are offered the opportunity to pursue courses which add not only to their own personal development, but to the overall operational functioning of the unit.

In the run up to Armed Forces Day on Saturday, we have been celebrating Reserves Day today!

Reserves Day is a day of raising awareness about what the Army Reserve is and what we do. Many people often assume it’s just a hobby or even who’s got time for that? But the truth is being an Army Reserve Musician gives you thousands of opportunities to do things you otherwise might never get the opportunity.

Over the last few years musicians in our band have traveled the world, taken part in Adventure Training, and played in some incredible venues such as; St James’ Palace, The Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, HMS Prince of Wales and even for Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.

If these are opportunities you would like to have, get in touch today!
