Any of these on your windowsill?
Thank you Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service for some great advice 👍🏻

With the heatwave continuing, and temperatures particularly hot in direct sunlight, please check that these items are not left on windowsills or out in the sun.

👓 Glasses
🪞 Mirrors
🔮 Crystal or glass ornaments
🧴 Aerosol cans (including deodorants)

Glass and crystal items can act like a magnifying glass, concentrating sunlight onto nearby combustible materials such as curtains, bedding, clothing, paperwork, or furniture. Aerosol cans can become dangerously hot in direct sunlight, increasing the risk of them rupturing or exploding.

You can also help to keep your home cool by keeping curtains and blinds closed during the day.
