𝐈𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 - 𝐉𝐕𝐋 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲’𝐬 “𝐙𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐢𝐬 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐦” 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

We extend our solidarity to the Green Party of England and Wales and its members who are facing a barrage of media smears and abuse following its conference decision to pass a ‘Zionism is Racism’ motion. We understand the outrage which underpins that motion, in particular a fury at the UK government’s complicity with the genocide in Gaza.

We believe that any division resulting from the differences of view on the motion, within and outside the Green Party is being fuelled by a hostile media response and bad faith actors who refuse to engage with what the real substance of the motion is – a reaction to genocide and an attempt to root out its causes.

We reject the accusations that the resolution is antisemitic and are appalled but not surprised by the media pile-up against both the Green Party and its Jewish leader, Zack Polanski.

As it has played out in Israel over the last hundred years and more Zionism has been racist and much more besides. It is also colonialist and ever more ethno-nationalist, culminating in apartheid, ethnic cleansing, war crimes and genocide. The motion is written at this time of genocide, embracing a Palestinian perspective, nailing down responsibility for it in how Zionist ideology has driven Israel’s actions.

The motion defines quite clearly the Zionism which it is calling out as racist. It says that this Zionism is “a political ideology which called for the creation – and, now it exists, the continuity – of an ethnonationalist Jewish State in historic Palestine to the exclusion and/or domination of the non-Jewish population. The real, material manifestation of Zionism has been the historic and ongoing dehumanisation, displacement, dispossession, disenfranchisement and destruction of Palestinians. This is based upon European settler-colonial systems of domination and oppression, which has also created racial hierarchies between Jews of different ethnicities in Palestine.”

Zionist ideology has elevated the concerns and desires of Jews in Palestine/Israel above those of all others. Creating such a hierarchy of worth is the signal of racism, making this Zionism a racist ideology.
It is generally agreed that identifying Jews with the actions of Israel is antisemitic. The resolution emphatically does not do that: it clearly and carefully distinguishes between Jews and Zionism and responsibility for Israel’s actions. To call this position antisemitic is an abuse of both Palestinians and Jews. It is those who attack ‘Zionism is Racism’ who insist on identifying a critique of Zionism with attacks on Jews as Jews, and Jews with the actions of Israel’s genocidal government. By so doing they are putting Jews at risk as proxies for Israel.

The motion calls for a single multi-ethnic state for all its citizens in historic Palestine with the right of return for exiled Palestinians and their descendants. A future single state is a longstanding, widely held end position for Israel and Palestine. It is possibly not a majority position amongst Palestinians in the region today and is certainly a minority position amongst Jews, though one shared by many in JVL. Nevertheless, we recognise the Palestinian right to self-determination and believe it is up to the people of the region to work out their future together. We reject the allegation that calling for such a state is a call for the murder or forced expulsion of Israeli Jews.

We welcome and support the unanimous statement of the Green Party MPs, and leadership group reiterating their determined opposition to all forms of racism and for the protection of all ethnicities.
We applaud the Green Party’s strong stance against the occupation, ethnic cleansing, apartheid and genocide and support for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions. We recognise the Green Party as an important progressive force on the left of politics in the UK. We note the parallels between the bad faith attacks on the Greens for being a party of the left that is critical of Israel and supportive of Palestinians, and those against the Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn.

We hope the Green Party is able to recover quickly from the turbulence surrounding this motion and continue with its progressive policies on Palestine/Israel, reducing inequality, reshaping the economy and minimising environmental catastrophe.

James Orr, now former head of policy at Reform UK, has just got caught red handed illegally taking American donations. However, this isn't the first time he has recieved such funding. Orr's associate professorship at the Faculty of Divinity was bought with a five figure donation from none other than Palantir's Peter Thiel.

The Cambridge University Administration, for all its talk of liberal values, is more than happy to take this money, drenched in the blood of Palestinians, to launder the reputation of these racists as "distinguised academic". It has turned a completely blind eyeto Orr as he has built his racist network on our campus, turning his home into a "right-wing mecca" for the likes of JD Vance & Jordan Peterson.

Even after the Peter Thiel donation was made public, Cambridge University has said nothing - evidently this kind of bribe from a billionaire directly implicated in facilitating and profiting from genocide is completely normal. Contrast this to how Professor Arday was treated & demonised, & how Cambridge University abandoned Professor Arday based on accusations that were very quickly shown to be false claims.

As Orr used this position to instigate and legitimise the racist hate campaign against Professor Arday, along with the racist eugenicist Nathan Cofnas, Cambridge University disgustingly sided with Orr's call to "investigate plagerism", while not uttering a single word about the racist vitrol being churned out by the entire media establishment, including some independent media that should know better and proved to be a disappointment.

In this latest scandal that was too much even for Reform UK to try & defend him, Cambridge University has remained silent - evidently hoping that we remain blind to the racist elephant in the room.

It is fantastic news the motion passed and another positive step towards ending the genocide of Palestinians and a free Palestine. Ashok Kumar gave a very good defence of the motion that gave no room for the Politics Live host to attack the motion or create an argument, it was clear, calm and to the point by a person that new the details and was able to compare other similar situations.

The MSM, israel, the zionist organisations and zionist supporters are already trying to claim the motion is anti-semitic by twisting the details and dishonestly claiming it'ssomething else, yet ignore the actual details of the motion that stats that Judaism is not the same as zionism or israel. Nor does the motion mean the expulsion of Jewish people from the party. The motion is explicit in that it ckncerns Zionism as a political ideology. Jewish people are very much still welcome in the party and it's worth stating that many Jewish people voted in favour of the motion.

This motion is consistent with the party's commitment to equal rights regardless of ethnicity, relious or non belief, disability, s*xual orientation, s*x, race, or gender.

No religion or ethnic group should have privileges or special rights over any other group, nor the right or ability to dispossess, subjugate, run an apartheid system, or commit the crime of crimes.

This motion was founded by Palestinians, English, Latin, and Polish people, supported by Palestinian organisations, Jewish people including Stephen Kapos, Palestinians, English, Irish, and more.

The lived experiences of Palestinians of Zionism cannot be denied.

Anti-zionism is not antisemitism, and zionism is not synonymous with Judaism. There are many Christian, other religions and non-religious zionists and many that reject it. I stand firmly against any hierarchy of worth and discrimination and fully celebrate and support diversity.

The Green Party and myself stand against war crimes, apartheid, oppression and the genocide of Palestinians and all genocides. Under the 1948 Genocide Convention, Article II, Israel has satisfied point a, b, c, and d, Article states:

Genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

(a) Killing members of the group;

(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;

(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;

(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

On Saturday 19th September at 16:30, I will be hosting a screening of the National Emergency Briefing (NEB) in Girton, South Cambs, with two other organisers (Shahila and Yvonne) and our Audio Visual expert Edd.

It can no longer be honestly argued against anymore, the climate science is very clear, we are in a climate emergency caused by anthropogenic activities. Yet the MSM still refuses to publish the raw hard facts in all their scary detail and governments refuse to act in any meaningful way.

With the current 'Business as Usual' in most countries and certain countries attacking/invading other countries (I will not go into detail here), the predicted 2°C rise by (or before) 2050 is looking as though it is going to be a severe under estimate, with 3°C looking far more likely.

In the article, it gives an example of a headline by the Obsever that really sums up how the MSM and big business really view the global population, not as living individuals but as no more than a resource to exploit for wealth/profit generation.

The Observer headline: "Global economy could face 50% loss in GDP between 2070 and 2090 from climate shocks, say actuaries". It ignores the very real potential that a 3°C global increase could mean 4 billion deaths (and this does not include the deaths/extinctions of other life), instead switch deaths to loss of GDP.

We all need to take action, especially governments and businesses, to stop the worst possible outcome amd halt climate change. We are locked in to a global temperature increase due to lag in the system, but where that increase will be is upto humanity. People need to make real changes, including cutting out animal products, reduce vehicle use, install green tech (governments need to fund this), planting more trees, and more, the alternative is to continue and pave the way to a planet/climate hostile to most life.

Statement on the tragic death of Prof. Jason Arday resulting from a relentless vicious media campaign and the University of Cambridge capitulation and abandonment of Jason Arday:

Prof. Jason Arday was subjected to a relentless toxic right-wing media witch hunt, in what can be only described as a trial-by-media, with the cowardly University of Cambridge more bothered about perceived "reputational damage" than they were of the now late Prof. Jason Arday. It is arguable that the University of Cambridge has damaged its reputation with its capitulation, total abandonment and disregard of Prof Jason Arday in an effort to protect its reputation at any cost, a cost paid in a life. It is notable how the University was more than happy to capitalise from a Black and Disabled academic, only to completely abandon Prof. Jason Arday in his time on need.

The difference between how the white academic, Dr William O’Reilly, was treated as compared to how Prof. Jason Ardan was treated by the Mainstream Media (MSM) and Cambridge University could not be more stark and blatant. One major difference between the two cases, the proven plagerism by O'Reilly and alledged plagerism by Arday, is the skin colour and disability status of Jason Arday vs O'Reilly.

A student lead university newspaper did an investigative news report into O'Reilly back in September 2023, where they found O'Reilly had plagerised two essays from one of his students, word for word, and published in the Journal of Austrian-American History. O'Reilly is still in his post at the University of Cambridge after getting what amounts to a slap on the wrist. Below is a quote from the article:

"A Cambridge professor resorted to legal threats and lies to stop this newspaper from publishing details of a University investigation which upheld a complaint that he plagiarised his student’s essays.

Dr William O’Reilly, an associate professor in early modern history, threatened Varsity with legal action if the newspaper reported that he had been found to have copied one of his undergraduate’s supervision essays.

Documents seen by Varsity show that more than twelve pages of an article by O’Reilly, published in the Journal of Austrian-American History, had been lifted almost word for word from two essays by one of his students."

With just under 100 Cambridge academics calling for a systematic and independent inquiry into the toxic and discriminatory culture at the University of Cambridge, it shows just how institutional and ingrained rascism, ableism, classism, and a superiority complex really is. What is really concerning is that this kind of discriminatory treatment by universities is not unique to this tragic event, but a wide spread systemic and institutionalised problem in academia. This case just happened to be picked up by the MSM, likely because of the University's global status and the skin tone and disability status of Prof. Jason Arday.

There must be accountability for the major role the toxic MSM and the University of Cambridge played in the tragic death of Prof Jason Arday which must result in major institutional changes across all universities to prevent this tragedy happening again.

My thoughts and sympathies with Prof Jason Arday and his loved ones. RIP Prof Jason Arday.

"Dear Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Prentice,

I write to you as County Councillor for Newnham and current employee of the University of Cambridge. The tragic death of Professor Jason Arday comes after a systematic and ruthless programme of trail-by-media from several major mefia outlets. The slew of vicious personal attacks were overwhelming.

Professor Arday was hired by the University of Cambridge which put on a celebratory media campaign of its own about his exceptional story. When Professor Arday was under attack, the University went went quiet and all but capitulated ro the narratives of the briader media. The University failed to adequately defend him and provide transparent evidence about its own procedures. This response is an example of University culture which sought to benefit from a Black and Disabled academic, only to abandon them.

The current inquiry focusing on the circumstances of Professor Jason Arday's appointment is not sufficient. I respectfully demand a broader and seperate independent inquiry into the University of Cambridge leadership's culture. The independent inquiry should explain how this tragedy was allowed to happen and what strategic and systematic changes need to be made to make the University a meaningfully inclusive institution.

Climate Change is a huge issue and an emergency humanity is currently failing to tackle. The science is clear, with 97% of scientists in agreement that Climate Change is a real threat to life on Earth. Firefighters and NHS staff see this clearer than anyone as they are on the frontline, with firefighters fighting increasing numbers of fires and NHS staff treating growing numbers hospitalised by extreme heat caused by climate change.

UPDATE 2:50pm - Good progress is being made at the scene of the Holme Fen fire.

Crews have worked well to get the fire surrounded in sectors and are continuing to extinguish it.

Firstly, I reject your framing and misrepresentation of my comment outright. I did not refer to Jewish people in my criticism, but instead to Israel, and deliberately used the term Zionism. Where you state Israel as the “only Jewish state”, you forget to mention it is also the only apartheid state. It is a Zionist state, and many non‑Zionist Jews do not live there or choose to move there precisely because they reject that framework. Judaism is not synonymous with Zionism or the state of Israel. To conflate Judaism with Zionism and Israel is itself antisemitic. All my Jewish friends reject this conflation and have said clearly that it increases antisemitism.

Antisemitism is discrimination, prejudice, hostility or violence against Jews as Jews. It is not criticism of Israel or Zionism. That is made clear in the Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism, which explicitly protects criticism of Israel, including comparisons between Israel or Zionism and N**i Germany.

Israelis themselves, including soldiers, have made these comparisons. An Israeli protester interviewed by Al Jazeera said Israel is behaving like N**i Germany. An Israeli soldier said: “I felt like, like, like a N**i... it looked exactly like we were actually the N**is and they were the Jews." Former MK Moshe Feiglin is on record saying that just as Hi**er wanted to be rid of every last single Jew, “so we want to be rid of every last Palestinian".

I believe that in certain respects Israel has become more evil than N**i Germany. Obviously not in respect of the extermination of 6 million Jews, but in other respects yes.

Let’s have a look and compare the actions of the IDF:

1. 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 - The N**is tortured and killed those held in concentration and death camps, whether they were Jewish, gay, disabled, Roma and Sinti, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Polish and Slavic, or political opponents. Israel is torturing and killing non‑combatant Palestinians in Israeli military prisons, most of whom have not been charged with anything. Although the N**is tortured their victims, the setting up of torture camps like Sde Teiman is something new.

2. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - The N**is starved those they held in concentration and death camps, and the Jewish ghettos in Poland. Like the N**is did to Jewish people and all the other victims, Israel is also starving the Palestinian population and those held in Israeli military prisons.

3. 𝗥𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻- The N**is did not r**e those they held in concentration camps because they saw this as contamination of the N**i genes. Israeli forces, however, do r**e Palestinians and internationals (including the crew of the Global Sumud Flotillas) using dogs, objects, and directly, as documented by B’Tselem and Euro‑Med Human Rights Monitor. The evidence is abundant, including the forced resignation of Major‑General Yifat Tomer‑Yerushalmi for leaking a video of the r**e of a Palestinian. The rapists were later reinstated in the IDF.

4. 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹, 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 - I’m not aware that the N**is systematically targeted the Red Cross; in fact, they tended (not always) to respect the convention of not targeting Red Cross personnel. Israeli leaders have verbally given their intent to wipe out Palestinians and expand the Israeli border by any means. Both Benjamin Netanyahu and Ben Gvir have used the verses from the Bible relating to Amalek, with Netanyahu frequently saying "Remember what Amalek did to you" (Deuteronomy 25:17) in addresses to Israeli forces and in public statements. Ben Gvir quoted the specific biblical command to "Blot out the memory of Amalek" (Deuteronomy 25:19) in a statement on social media. This is intent to commit genocide. Yoav Gallant stated about the Palestinians, "We are fighting human animals." Similarly, Yitzhak Goldknopf referred to the residents of Gaza as "human animals", both to deny Palestinians humanity, just as N**is denied Jewish people their humanity. This was exactly what Himmler said in his speech to senior SS officers on 4 October 1943 in Posen, that Jews and Slavs were “human animals".

It is common for Zionists to say that the Holocaust only applies to Jews. This is very widespread. Prof. Yehuda Bauer had a well‑known debate with Holocaust historian Sybil Milton where he argued that only Jews suffered a Holocaust. Yad Vashem is dedicated only to the Jews who died in the Holocaust; it does not include other victims. I haven’t located the specific rabbi in question, but again it is a very common belief that including others in the Holocaust dilutes Jewish suffering. The Holocaust Memorial Day Trust only includes Jews; all others are considered genocides. Gerhard Riegner declared that “Auschwitz was not only a national memory belonging to the Jewish people… it was also an important political asset” for the WJC and Israeli state (Tom Segev, The Seventh Million, p.474).

In countless cases, Israel has broken international law, including committing multiple acts of piracy against the Global Sumud Flotilla by abducting them and forcing the crew into stress positions, beating and assaulting them (particularly the Black members of the crew), ra**ng them, starving them and torturing them. These actions are well documented, including with videos directly from IDF soldiers who openly brag about the war crimes and genocide they are committing.

In terms of attitudes of racial supremacy, they are very much the same. Over 60% of Israelis support extermination of Palestinians in Gaza according to the Pennsylvania State University poll of Prof Sorek, when attitudes to Amalek are taken into account. 56% of Israelis want to deport all Arab Israelis. Hostility to Arabs in Israel is far higher than antisemitism was in N**i Germany, which was largely confined to the N**i Party and its core of “old fighters.” Only 8% of Israelis take direction action and protest against the actions of the Israeli state and the IDF, putting their lives and wellbeing on the line.

Israel is committing a live‑streamed genocide, with 4 out of the 5 criteria met for genocide under the 1948 Genocide Convention. The only reason it seems that not all 5 criteria have been satisfied is because babies and children are not being forcibly removed but systematically slaughtered. Never again means never again for anyone.
