Thank you to everyone who showed support for us in the recent elections. It was a pleasure to speak to so many people in the community throughout the campaign.

Congratulations to all the Labour candidates who were elected, we wish them all the best and hope that they will serve the people of Romsey well.

Congratulations also to Darryl Preston Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambs&PE who was elected as the Police and Crime Commissioner.

A further update on the vandalism

A local trader said that regardless of personal politics it was disappointing seeing graffiti on Mill Road

Vandalism: an appeal for any information concerning vandalism on a private property on 229 Mill Road.

Some local residents were kind and bold enough to show support for their local candidates in the local elections; they shouldn't have to fear for their safety and be victims of crime just because they are showing their support. Everyone has the right to safely show support for their respective candidates or parties and there are many more democratic ways to show discontent or disagreement; vandalism is not the answer.

We believe the incident happend some time last night on Sunday the 2nd of May. We have reported this to the police but would welcome any information at all if anyone has seen anything.
