There's still time to complete the Summer Reading Challenge at your local library. Make sure you've collected every goodie from all six weeks and celebrate everything you've achieved this summer so far.

We can't wait to see what you've read!

The summer holidays are nearly over and our programme of special events is coming to an end, but there’s still plenty of time to complete the Summer Reading Challenge!

If you’re not quite finished yet, don’t worry! Pick up a new book at your local library, spend some time reading, and keep going.

Once you’ve collected all six stickers, you’ll be invited to your library’s special Award Ceremony in September, where you’ll receive a special medal and a certificate to celebrate all your fantastic reading.

You can complete the challenge up until the date of the Award Ceremony at the library where you joined:

Arbury Court Library: Wednesday 16th September
Barnwell Road Library: Tuesday 15th September
Cambridge Central Library: Saturday 26th September
Cherry Hinton Library: Monday 21st September
Milton Road Library: Friday 18 September
Rock Road Library: Friday 25th September

We can’t wait to see you at your library's ceremony!

Your local library offers more than books! We went along to our local library in Cambridge to show you how you can check out a blood pressure monitor just like checking out a book.

Through the Cambridgeshire Libraries Blood Pressure Monitor Loan Scheme, you can borrow a blood pressure monitor for free with your library card.

High blood pressure often has no symptoms, so checking it regularly can help you stay informed about your health. Ask at your local library to find out more about borrowing a monitor.

If you missed these two events, don't worry: a small number of places are still available for Decoding DNA at Cambridge Central Library tomorrow (2.30-4.30pm): https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/decoding-dna-at-cambridge-central-library-tickets-1993930583049
