Due to a network connection outage, there is currently no computer use, no Wifi, and no printing at Arbury Court Library. We are working on a solution, and apologise for any inconvenience caused. Nearest open libraries today are Milton Road Library (open 3pm-6pm) and Central Library, open until 6pm.

Happy Pride Month from !

Pride Month happens every June and celebrates the LGBTQ+ community. The first Pride event took place on 28th June 1970, following the Stonewall Uprising in New York in 1969, led predominately by Le****ns and Trans Women of colour.

At Central Library we are marking Pride Month with a fabulous display of LGBTQ+ themed books ranging from children's fiction to adult non-fiction. Come and check it out!

On Friday, we had the joy of having author and illustrator Chloe Savage at Cambridge Central Library for a reading of her picture book "The Search for the Giant Arctic Jellyfish" and a live illustration demonstration full of wonderful jellyfish-drawing tips. Children then had the possibility to make jellyfish drawings, inspired by Chloe's reading.

We received fantastic feedback from children and parents: "Brilliant interactive event with storytelling and drawing", "Amazing event!", "Fab story and theme!", "We've had a fantastic morning!", "I loved it".
We are so grateful!

This event was delivered in partnership with Cambridge Literary Festival. Stay tuned for more free children's events at the library in collaboration with the Festival!
