Burwell Museum and Windmill Rural history museum with a Grade II* Listed windmill (Stevens' Mill). Open 10am-4pm (last entry 3pm) Sat & Sun.Bank Hols Sun & Mon. Easter to end of October.

An amazing family day out – climb the windmill, follow the trails, make phone calls to each other via our working 1960s telephone exchange, enjoy the rare vintage vehicles, old schoolroom and village shop, and find out how people lived in Burwell on the edge of the Fens. Free car parking at Gardiner Memorial Hall in the High Street. Short walk from rear of car park to the museum. Disabled parking

available in Mill Close near the windmill. Cycle parking right next to the museum main entrance. Further information, including admission charges, can be found on our website. Our address is:

Our final FREE children's activities day of the summer is this Thursday 27th August.
Up to 4 children with every paying adult.
Museum open 11am to 3pm.
If driving, please park consideratly in nearby streets if the Gardiner Memorial Hall car park is full.
We have cycle racks right by the entrance.

Free Kids Thursdays continue this week at Burwell Museum. Lots of free activities, plus a chance to see the Snocat if you didn't come to our Classic Cars day.
One paying adult for every 4 children.
Adult admission is £6, or free with a season ticket.
Museum open 11am to 3pm.

If you were wondering how we got the Snocat on site, here's a video of it arriving on Friday 14th August.
You may see it pop up in various places in the future as it is now owned by a local private individual and will not be returning to the Antarctic.

The temperature has dropped since yesterday, thankfully.
It's dropped so much at Burwell Museum that we have had significant snowfall and someone has parked a Snocat on site!
See the Snocat (without snow!) plus around 40 classic cars and motorbikes this Sunday (16th August) at the museum 10am to 4pm (last admission 3pm). Visitor car parking at Gardiner Memorial Hall in the High Street and Burwell Surgery in Newmarket Road. Please do not park in Mill Close or Mill Lane.
Strictly NO SMOKING anywhere on site!
