If you are looking for Pimp My Fish tonight, they are here, but they have had to park around by the recreation ground because of the groundwork being done outside the hall.

Please note that tomorrow's Great Shelford Country Market will be held at the Sports Pavilion on the recreation ground rather than the Memorial Hall due to some works being done at the hall. 9am-11.30am. Thank you.

GREEN FLAG AWARD
Great Shelford Parish Council is celebrating after receiving a Green Flag Award for The Recreation Ground for the 4th consecutive year.
It comes as the internationally recognised standard for parks and green spaces celebrates its 30th year.
Great Shelford Recreation Ground is one of a record breaking 2,391 in the UK to achieve the award this year – a fantastic testament to the hard work, passion and dedication of the team who care for this green space, ensuring it is maintained to a high standard for visitors and residents to enjoy.
Paul Todd MBE, Green Flag Award Manager at Keep Britain Tidy, said: “Parks are essential public spaces that support our wellbeing, our communities and our economy. Yet for millions of people, particularly in the most deprived areas, local parks simply don’t feel safe or welcoming.
“With public services under pressure, investing in parks is not a luxury, it’s a practical, preventative solution and one of the most visible ways to improve people’s quality of life.
Great Shelford Parish Council have shown what can be achieved when parks are properly supported and managed. As we celebrate 30 years of the Green Flag Award, we want every community to have access to green spaces like this that are safe, welcoming and maintained to a high standard.
"Congratulations to everyone involved."

We had an incident reported to us on Sunday evening regarding a group of young adults who were seen on top of the Pavilion roof on the recreation ground. We want to highlight how dangerous this is. Fortunately it doesn't appear that anyone was hurt on this occasion, but it has been reported to the Police and our CCTV has captured those involved. If anyone witnesses anything like this in the future please do alert the clerk on 01223 616622.
