Andrew Dunkley, 38, from King's Hedges, is behind bars after driving dangerously around Trumpington while on a suspended sentence for the same offence.

Our officers eventually caught up with him though and you can read more about the case over on the force website: https://orlo.uk/3HGHm

That email claiming youโ€™ve won a prize, the text message telling you youโ€™ve missed a delivery, or the phone call from the bank to let you know thereโ€™s been some suspicious activity on your account.

Most of us can spot phishing scams a mile off โ€“ the typos, the elaborate email addresses and the urgency to take action by clicking a link or divulging your details.

But before you dismiss these scams as something you wonโ€™t fall for, remember, fraudsters are getting more sophisticated with their messaging, and it only takes one lapse in concentration while battling through the chaos of life to fall victim.

๐Ÿšฒ Bike marking event a success at Mill Park!

On Friday, City East neighbourhood officers joined our Police Cadets, Dardan Security, Visit Cambridge and Cambridge City Council's ASB team to meet local residents, discuss community concerns and mark bikes.

Lots of bikes were registered on the National Bike Register, including one that had previously been reported stolen and later returned to its owner, who was able to update their details on the day.

Thanks to everyone who came along! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Congratulations to the seventeen student officers who passed out at force HQ yesterday.

The men and women will soon become crime investigators and will be posted across the county.

They are on the forceโ€™s accelerated detective pathway and were welcomed to the force by Chief Constable Simon Megicks.

Weโ€™re not currently recruiting to this pathway, but we are open for applications to our Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP).

Itโ€™s a two-year course focused on police skills, which is not academically focused, but has a range of assessments.

For more information and to apply, visit our website https://orlo.uk/z7RGg

Female runners, we want your voice! We're inviting you to take part in a brief, anonymous survey to share your experiences. This survey is part of our ongoing efforts to tackle Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and will help inform an upcoming campaign for safer, more supportive running environments. It only takes a couple of minutes and we would really appreciate your support.

Last week, officers visited Cambridge city centre for a little crackdown on antisocial moped and motorbike use in the pedestrian zone. ๐Ÿ›ต

In total, we stopped 32 vehicles, which led to three seizures for no licence or insurance, and five section 59 warnings being issued. โ—

The issue is something we know is important for local residents and businesses, so it's important to us, too ๐Ÿ™Œ
