It starts as a joke.
A dare.
A “go on…”
Then suddenly, it’s serious.
“Everyone’s laughing… until they’re not.”

Mates speak up when someone's dared to jump into water they can't see the bottom of.
Speak up. Be a Mate.

Do you know how many rechargeable electrical devices you have at home?

Fires involving items like laptops, vapes and e-scooters are on the rise 🛴💻

Don’t charge when you’re sleeping and keep exit routes clear in case there's a fire.

Buy, charge and recycle your devices safely.

It’s easy for a cooking fire start. It only takes a minute.

If you’re tired, have been drinking, or taking drugs, you will be less alert to the signs of fire. You are more likely to fall asleep.

You are less likely to wake up if a fire does start.

If you’ve been drinking alcohol or taking drugs, don’t cook.

If you’ve been drinking avoid walking near water. You may not realise how unsteady on your feet you are. It’s likely to be dark so fewer people will see you in distress. If you fall in after drinking your chances of being able get out of the water are decreased as alcohol impairs even simple movements.
