We have posted a fair number of pieces on Scotland as a colony. So, what is a colony?
▪️"Primarily, colonialism is about economic exploitation, as we can see still occurring.
▪️"Secondly, colonialism involves external political control and Scotland is clearly run by Westminster, and its legislation dominated by England's MPs.
▪️"Thirdly, there is what is known as 'cultural colonialism'. Colonial powers impose cultural assimilation processes which seek to alter the identity of a people. This leads to the psychological condition we know as 'the colonial mindset', where a people accept their subordinate position as 'deserved'.
